Remarks

There must be a playground in college campus there is a very small space given for sports in campus where u can't play football or cricket Wifi connetions are missed by students a lot here. There should be WiFi cinnections atleast through this students can interact with friends in college campus.

No entrance examination needed for admission here but a short admission test you have to give in the college campus at the time of admission. The questions are of MCQ types.

This college has 2 branches in Kolkata you can only get management courses but in Durgapur, Btech is also a highly recommendable course along with management courses. Refer to the college site for course details.

Placement Experience

About 50% students per course got the internship jobs if you score well without any backlog its not so difficult to get the job prestigious companies also came to this college like wipro, TCS, airtel, Fortis, and lot more 20k to 30k per month is the common package provided.

College Events

Intercollege competitions in Login astitwa fest held every year annual sports meet also held its a 3 or 4 days meet where football, cricket and various games played on 1 ground college arranges a tour also the places are chosen according to scenery and diversity cooking competition are also held.

I don't know about scholarships but discount according to marks at the time of admissions may be provided loans are also offered.

Hostel Facilities

College hostel is not in the college campus this is a matter you have to think twice but its not also far from college 10mins walking distance is quite appropriate boys and girls hostels are at the same venue. Shared rooms are available for students hostel managements are good. Foods are average if you don't get any room in hostel prefer the pgs nearby college campus lots of pgs are there in comparison with hostel, living in pgs are far better this will save your money also.

Talking about lab exams, it depends upon you how to handle it i.e. if you are prepared, nothing is hectic external or theory exams held in college itself college administration take every precautions for better arrangement 3 hours exam not a big deal.

My IEM

Likes

Discipline. The discipline there is the mainstay behind their academic and professional success of the students.
Academic Pressure. The healthy pressure given in academics was the major reason why I came out with flying colours.
College life. The college culture was nice, and we, the students really enjoyed ourselves by making friendships and bonds.

Dislikes

Authoritarianism. The institute survives on Authoritarianism, and whatever was said by the faculty was like an edict for us.
Selective Preference(Sometimes) of students. The placement cell is headed by a person who only allows his favored students to appear for the good jobs.
Strictness. It is very strict, and not even the basic amounts of freedom are allowed in the college, everyone has to follow a certain standard.

Placement Experience:

The placements are really nice. Every year, a large amount of students are employed by Tech Mahindra, CTS, TCS, Wipro, etc. all software giants. The starting salaries are also decent. Most students get placed, but 100% placement has also been achieved by the college now.

Likes

Supportive faculty - Helpful and friendly teachers

Safe atmosphere - No ragging, ensuring a positive environment

Dislikes

distance issues - 5-7 minutes walk from the station
Lack of eateries - No restaurants or cafes nearby
No direct private vehicles available; they are available only on extra payment

Placement Experience:

Placement eligibility usually starts in the final year, but there are limited opportunities. Some IT and outsourcing companies visit, but they offer low salary packages. The average package offered is not very high about 3-4 LPA and only a small percentage of students get placed. Many students prefer to pursue an MCA or learn additional skills like web development, data science or cyber security to improve their job prospects. After completing my BCA, I plan to gain experience in IT related jobs improve my technical skills and possibly pursue higher studies like MCA. I might also explore freelancing or certification to increase job opportunities. Since I already have customer service and telecalling experience, I may also consider IT support roles before moving into core technical jobs. Building skills and networking will be important for getting a good job after graduation.

Likes

Sustainable infrastructure and campus design

Dislikes

Limited library resources and heavy dependency on e-books, with a mismanaged book rental system
There are some blocks which need better connectivity features, frequent jamming occurs there

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for internhips from 4th sem onwards, provided they have no backlogs and are well equipped for skills demanded by companies. The college provides good internships and job placements in reputable companies such as TCS, Wipro, Amazon etc,.[for computer science departement] with an average package of 3.5 LPA. The college has achieved a well rounded record of 100% placements[T&Cs applied] for 3 consecutive batches now[2019-22, 2020-23, 2021-24].

I decided to take up Clinical Psychology over Applied Psychology for my Master's. I searched for colleges and Universities near my home town Durgapur.
