Remarks

I am TANUMOY SAHA, I want to tell you that It will be a better admission process if The criteria are done on a standard AI JEE rank basis or on West Bengal JEE Rank basis. Yes, The Eligibility of Course system is quite optimized & balanced for Bsc courses & specializations on the basis of CBSE percentage criteria, But other than these it would be great if there is a COMMON ENTRANCE TEST in the future for eligibility. We know that This year was not possible due to covid10 but in the mere future This criteria's should be somewhat more Strict for admission process.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The Course curriculum & faculty members are quite good, 1st of all I have preferred Bsc Biotech because of my extreme interest in genetic engineering & upcoming situations of Covid 19. Also, this subject has a possibility for a Blooming future in the upcoming days of the Pandemic/epidemic. The Faculty in This college is quite good & The laboratory benefits & materials are also Supportive & workable, This college provides one of the oldest Biotech labs in West Bengal. The student ratio is also balanced. Saying about Qualification of the faculty, The Professors have atleast 6-10 yrs of teaching exp and research performs in their career, they are all friendly & supportive and helps us to explore more in this subject The term exams are Moderate & have standard questions.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure for this course in this college is quite preferable. The total 3yr course fee is 3,35000. But there are many scholarships applied in this college, for eg. I have applied for Sarvodaya scholarship during admission which performs on the Basis of your HS percentage criteria. For me The Sarvodaya scholarship has cut down my Tuition fees by 50% on 89% board percentage other than This, You also post for other Scholarships mentioned. Some of my friends have also applied for the Swami Vivekananda Scholarship of 60000/- I am a 1st-year student & till now There are no jobs available for this course with a stipend, Hope to get one in the future.

Campus Life

4

The Campus Life for this college is Very Beautiful and feels natural, There are several facilities in our College starting from A large Library showcasing Books from several courses, There are Drama, Sports, EVS, Sanskriti, Dance, Photography, Coding, Nature, Food, and many other clubs available, which makes your Campus Life good. There is A Swimming pool, With Trainer, Gym, Basketball court, Games room, music room & others which makes the sports experience quite nice. Other than these The seniors are quite Helpful in the clubs. Tech fests and other social activities are also performed within weeks to months.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel Life is Also very good. The rooms provided in our hostel is Moderate and quite spacy, There are common bathrooms which are more or less clean, Electricity facilities are also good. Geyser facilities, Common games room, Common Canteen, Hostel food parlor all are present. Meal quality is Best in this college, Varied foods are given in a week. Non-veg & veg is given in a balanced way. Diets given there are rich in Proteins & fiber. The registration process is quite preferable & affordable. Other than Hostel if I would have taken PG, I have to stay in Amtala/ Sarisha which moderate PG available nearest to college

Placement Experience:

People who major in my department usually opt for masters over placement not because of this college but because overall industrial or academic opportunities are better with a pg degree. Masters from this college is not recommended as i have heard so from my seniors. Some of my seniors managed to crack competitives and secure MSc seats at great places. Training and Placement cell had a good coordinator previously but now its almost non existent. Companies do come and hire Bpharm, Mpharm and MSc candidates. Packages are below average. Only Nestle pays well. But if you do well you'll eventually climb up the corportate ladder. From the time i am here i have not heard of any BSc candidate getting placed. Most go for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

The average package offered for such roles ranges between ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package offered to a BSc student is around ?4 LPA, depending on skills and specialization. Overall, around 15–20% of BSc students get placed through campus drives, and many students rely on off-campus opportunities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is very relevant as it provides us an overall knowledge of biology and not dividing it into various sections rather giving us an insight of every aspect of biology. It includes everything such as microbiology, zoology, botany, physiology, molecular biology and so on.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was well thought out as per me but there were subjects that i found absolutely unnecessary. Subjects like history evs and clc were in no way related to my course. Coming to the main subjects Design, Printing, Photography and film and Media Training were absolutely necessary for my course and whilst the faculty for some of these subjects were really bad, some were good. It is also important to mention none of these subjects actually helped us prepare for the real world. Instead internships and freelance helped us more than these subjects could ever do. Exams were held bi monthly to keep track of what we learnt and every 6 months we had our semester exams. Overall if you want to be a media professional INTERNSHIPS AND JOBS WILL HELP YOU MORE THAN A COLLEGE WILL. I am biased on this opinion as my college didnt provide me with the correct guidance and support i needed to make it in the real world.

Placement Experience:

In case of computer science department, placement is provided at the Last year of M.sc course. Many companies like Wipro, b10x, Tata visited here. Highest package ever is three lakh per annum. 20-40% of the students got placement after completing M.Sc computer science. My plan after B.sc is to pursue MCA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

* It's all about practical knowledge, we are getting from this course and another aspect is if you wants to make your career in research or lecturer then you should go for it. *No changes required in teaching methods but if college will provide hostel facilities and campus requirement drive, then it will better for candidates.
