Mumbai University successfully released its first, second and third merit list for UG admission on August 17, 25 and 30, respectively, followed by a few more lists. Mumbai University admission 2021 to first year of all UG courses started on August 5. The sale of UG admission form took place from August 5 to August 14 and the online submission of admission forms along with the pre-enrolment form took place from August 6 to August 14. MU PG application 2021 for a few courses, namely MTA, MSc and MA in Arabic is already over on August 26. Candidates are advised to visit the official PG admission portal of MU for details

MU admission process usually begins in the last week of May every year. But MU 2021 admission saw a delay because of the ongoing pandemic. The admission process for the academic year 2021-22 started on August 5 for UG courses and on August 12 for PG courses. Informally known as Mumbai University (MU), it has seen a 104% increase in undergraduate students and is considered one of the largest universities in the world in terms of the number of students.

1. Financial Assistance to the Students representing Backward Classes A provision of Rs. 10,00,000.00 (Rupees Ten Lakhs) has been year-marked to render Financial Assistance to the students belonging to the Backward Class (S.C., S.T., N.T., D.T., and S.B.C.) studying at various Departments of the University. Application forms are available with the Head of the Department at the time of admission. Students, whose parents annual income is less than Rs. One lakh are eligible to get benefit of this scheme. The four categories of the students covered the scheme are [1] students enrolled in self supporting courses staying in Hostel - Rs.9,000.00 maximum and not-staying in Hostel Rs.7,000/-max. (2) Students in Regular courses staying in Hostel - Rs.4,000.00 max. & not staying in Hostel Rs. 2,000.00 maximum. Basically life in Mumbai University is pretty strange. First you try too hard for getting into an engineering college . Then in first year you just try making new friends and getting comfortable with the environment. Then comes adjusting with seniors , you need to get along well with your seniors (especially mechanical department) or they mess up quite things for you . Then while doing all of this here comes your mid term exam Bang!! . If you have studied and have mastered the art of filling answer sheets no matter how much you know , you score well . Then next semester is full of events , fests , sports meets and full of colours . So might not notice than second semester gets to you so fast. And after that 2 semesters , you will have a clear idea what to do and when to do things . And you just cruise through all semester . Rest is chill
