Remarks

Management is helpful but first you have to make efforts then only they will try to help you or sort out the matter.

Entrance Preview

I gave Out exam in 2013 and I had scored pretty decent marks as 82. I opted for this college because in my opinion it was the best college in the choices available in his rank and this also had great placement record.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is particularly related to the latest technology available and they also made me do a lot of practical work rather than only theory.

Internships Opportunities

Actually I didn't went for the internship , rather than I went training part so I could be much better at the technology. Generally the stipend offered is at around 15000 .

Placement Experience

The placement record is one the best in the northern part of India and it too have great job packages. There are great opportunities as it provides various options either to go for higher studies or entrepreneurship.

College Events

There is the man event called PARIVARTAN which is celebrated at the start of November and one the best fest in Punjab. There also other particular department events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is BNOT too much for the moderate family as it is Rs 43000 per sem tution fees and it can be paid by the moderate . For weaker sections they have scholarships available .

Fees and Financial Aid

Yeah there are very good loan faculties and scholarship facility's available for the weaker sections I.e the people who are not able to pay the fees and proper help is done.

Campus Life

Campus life is excellent as we there are a lot of sports facilities and competitions going on. Other co curricular activities are there like debate , speech and educational trips are also organised .

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facilities in particularly the most important thing is food which is on an average level and sometimes it's much better.Room facilities are best and WiFi is also good.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are really helpful as they helped me out with the books as I didn't know anything when I was a fresher and alumini party also happens every year.

Exam Structure

There are basically three sessionals test in one sem and after that we have our semester exams . After all this has finished we have external vivas.

Faculty

Faculty is average as some are very best at what they do and some are ok.

Likes

supportive campus environment with the comfortable in the classess
faculty most faculty members are very much supportive and they guide the students in the right way only
events are there in the campus provided by the campus.

limited practical exposure is provided by the campus and also there should be more hand on international events

placements at my college are very very good, as everybody gets the chance to sit for the placements at the same level. we get the placement oportunities at the 6th semster also. in my brancg it is very good

A Vibrant Campus with good learning and great opportunities

Likes

good infrastructure , large libraries and practical labs
helpful and large opportunities in campus

Dislikes

class size can be large , it helps every child to interact
academic work is quite high , the schedule may feel hectic especially during examination

The curriculum is relevant and covers core cse subjects like programing DSA and DBMS . it provides good fundamental for placements and further studies , more practical projects and industry based teaching would improve it .

75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

I like the most about the college the placement criteria and the way built your confidence
Also the hostel is very good and provide food 4 times
The campus explorer is also very nice according to me

Faculty is not soo well had a lit bit inconvenience
Hostel mess food is not good at some time
Placement is decent and average as like other collage

Gym is provided but only for name, no fame , always full

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

I chose Chandigarh Engineering College Laundry over the other due to its strong placement record affordable structure and good industry connections first up I applied to Chitkara University and Lovely Professional University but found C see more cost effective with a well structured curriculum.
