Remarks

I applied to 6 colleges, I got admission calls from 3 colleges. Aquinas College was not far away from my home and I got the subject of my choice. That is why I choose this college. The admission procedure was merit-based. All processes were so easy and the staffs have a good helping mind.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I choose Mathematics because i didn't get admission to computer science. By studying maths I can improve the logical and coding skills that I need in the future. At my time of admission, the ratio of students was low. But the seats had been vastly increased for the next academic year students. Almost all teachers are PhD holders. Teaching was average. Exams schedules are as per the rules of the university. Exams are late and result publishing is also late. But is not that hard to pass because the valuations are not that strict.

Fees and Financial Aid

As Aquinas college is a public college, fees are very low. About 2000 rupees per year not including any other exam fee etc. There are lots of scholarships for students with good marks. Also, there are scholarships for students who are minors. There are other scholarships that come under the college itself which is given by the Christian management of the college.

Campus Life

4

The college and departments conduct certain fests like tech, food e.t.c. Annual day, Union day, Arts days are longer festivals. These are conducted at the end of the academic year except Union day. Union day is conducted after the election. There are lots of academic and unacademic books in the library. Fans, lights and projector facilities are available in all classrooms. There are 3 computer labs and one physics lab. There is also a gym. The football ground is very big. There is also a basketball court and tennis court. Cycling, Kabaddi, hockey is the main sports items of this college. There is a book club.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My favourite subject is biology. I have applied for zoology course but unfortunately there is no seats available at that time, so I chose Botany which is also my favourite. The curriculum is perfect and prepares for real world. More practical sessions are needed. Every 6 months there will be semester exam. Which is not that much tough.

College lacks infrastructure and ample space for the ease of college excitement but the college offers a great field of laboratories and on-site experience in the field the faculty and lectures sometimes involve too much into their personal life than minding their own business.
