All about Chandigarh University

At Chandigarh University there is not any mandatory entrance exam if you want a scholarship then you have to give CUCET exam according to your marks you will get the scholarship but if not want to give this exam you want direct admission so just submit your full fees, you easily get admission in this university. CUCET exam is available on cucet.cuchd.in on their website you just have to register and pay 1000 for the exam. Eligibility criteria- class 12th with physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects and any two of these subjects:-Chemistry /biotechnology /computer science/biology with a minimum 60% aggregate.

The teachers are good, supportive and are always available to counter students' doubts and queries. I selected B.E. CSE because I love to do coding I did some basic coding in class 11th and 12th. My passion for coding drove me to this university. There are enough teachers for students around 60-70 students per teacher and teachers are also well qualified. The teaching method is also interactive. They made ppts of every chapter short points and the ppts are also accessible for every student of this University. Students easily prepared for their exams by just studying these ppts. There are two mst's and final exams in one semester. The mst's are bit easy than final exams because each mst have only one chapter but in final exams we have to study all three chapters in the end. So overall the exams are not too hard not average it's like average-hard. You just have to focus in classes to get good cgpa and do practical quizes on time you easily got above 8 cgpa.

As you know most of the students choose this university just because of the placements and 100%scholarship. The placements are really impressive this year highest package is 52lpa. Maybe after the 5th or 6th semester, you become eligible for campus placements. There are so many companies around more than 700 companies visited this year and around 8000 students placed. The highest package of 52.11pla was offered by Charter Global and the average package is 8lpa. After getting my degree i want a job in a decent comapny with a handsome package.

According to me the fees of this university is bit high but if you get a scholarship then it is oaky for me. The fees of B.E. CSE is 90k per semester but i get 40% scholarship so i have to pay 54k per semester. So if you calculate full fees of B.E. CSE its is around 720k for 4 years. The name of scholarship is CUCET test on which basis you get your scholarship. If you score above 91 marks you get 100% scholarship. After that you just have to maintain above 7.5 cgpa. Its too good.

It's my first year so I don't know much about fests and all these things but after I came there are so much different fests which are organized. And about books and libraries, there are so many books for students. If they want they can issue the books or just read in libraries. There are projectors in every classroom and there are also so many extracurricular activities and sports for those who are interested in playing state level or national level sports. There are so many clubs are runs by students which some are paid or some are free.

Hostels are average not top notch there are some problems like, in winters you need hot water geysers timing are 7-9 am in the morning and in the evening also after that you do not have hot water for your use and after 10 pm the lifts are closed so you have to use stairs in night. Rooms are good every day a maid will come for cleaning are toiles are also too clean and hygienic. The fee is 1 lakh for a year. The food is much better than I expected. I never rented a PG but have friends who live in pg. The PGs are much costly and have better facilities than hostels.
