Remarks

1. Eligibility for admission in any course at Chandigarh University is very easy and simple, simply just visit the Chandigarh University website where all the stuff is mentioned clearly with fee structures and all other stuff. 3. The Application form is clearly visible on the top of the CU's website. Starting of the application form is on 14th December and the Last date to apply 29th July and the Exam date 14th Dec to 30th Sep of every year. 3. I think there are no reservation benefits available but there is a scholarship module available if students want to avail of reservation benefits so they have to write an application attached with caste and income certificate so that they will gate benefits accordingly but not confirmed. 4. Yes, In the admission process I want lots of improvements because there is no seat matrix followed so anyone gets admission very easily. But In the present scenario, college needs a seat matrix to improve the quality of admission. And there should also be admission criteria followed.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

1. I have chosen BE-CSE because it is my dream to become a Software Developer Engineer so I found CU is the best platform for me in private colleges. And I always have interest in computers and related things. 2. Faculty is very helpful and cooperative and there is a very large no. Of faculty is parallel pursuing his/her P.hd from CU. The ratio of faculty: to students is 3 teachers in 60 Students. Some of them are very friendly. 3. Qualification of faculties is very excellent some faculty is highly qualified and experienced so students love to follow them and some faculties are new and from fewer age groups so they have less experience but are very supportive and cooperative. 4. In One single semester there is 2 MST Exam(Mid Term Tests) and after that, there is End semester Exam will hold, and parallelly there is lots of Assignments and practical held. If any student fails in any exam then there is improvement exam held in summer and winter terms with some changes so students improve there marks and result.

Internships Opportunities

4

1. From my best knowledge Microsoft, Amazon, TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Google, Samsung, Chater Global, Goldman Sachs, etc provide internships to the students with their own selection process for the role of SDE intern and other roles with a handsome stipend for 3-6 Months of the Internship period. 2. There are lots of big and small projects running by different students and teachers in different Clubs in every course accordingly. So many students take part in any clubs, in any project. Many students get the PPO and Good internship offers with the help of their project performance.

Placement Experience

4

1. After the 5th sem students because eligible to take part in the placement drive and internships and also eligible for PPOs. Flipkart, TCS, Infosys, Goldman Sachs, Wipro, Microsoft, Amazon, Chater Global, Google, Deloitte, Tech Mahindra, etc big MNCs. 2. Highest package of the current year is 52.11 LPA by Chater Global and the average package is 4.5 LPA By TCS, Infosys, Wipro, etc. And many more students take part in other career fields like UPSC, GATE, etc. 3. CU claims 95% of students' placement but I think It is 75-80%. All the interested and capable students really grab the good placements offered in Big MNCs from all over the world. But one main point is that there are not only CU students taking part in placements to drive but also students of CGC and other small colleges taking part so it is the combined placement percentage of all the colleges. 3. After my degree I want to join my dream company as SDE. And after my placement, I parallelly prepare for AFCAT to become wing commander in the Indian Air force.

Fees and Financial Aid

1. There is no Fees hike in the continuation of the semester still but there are a lot of events and programs for engineering and other courses are going on so students have to indirectly pay the fees like summer industrial training, TPP, etc. Yes, there are uncertain and unaware hikes in hostel fees and transportation fees without prior notice. But every year Chandigarh University's Engineering fees are increasing by 10k as I am enrolled with 80k per sem in 2020 but in 2021 it hiked to 90k and in 2022 it is 1lac - 1.10lac something. 2. CUCET is the Scholarship and Admission test of Chandigarh University. Financial Assistance is good but very forceful so students have asked for fees for next semester before two months of the exam of the current semester. Currently, I am in the 2nd semester so for now, there is no placement drive is done. But one or two companies starts to visit the campus to offer internships to the students with their own patterns and criteria.

Campus Life

4.5

1. CU Fest is the Annual fest of Chandigarh University which is held in the month of March every year and there are lots of tech and other small and big fests parallelly running on the campus like hackathons, hacker overflows, Techinfy, coding competitions, a bug to debug, etc. There is Outstanding quality and quantity of Books and Journals available in the Library. 2. Classroom is good but not perfect because there is only a whiteboard and projector available for teaching so sometimes content is not visible from the back of the classroom. I think there should be smart boards available for a better quality of teaching and learning process because fees are very high as compared to teaching. 3. There is a very big size of Sports complex with a wide range of sports activities available to the students and faculty members. So any students involved in the sports activities. 4. Different Coding Clubs, Nature's Club, Technical Clubs Social NGO works, one website run by me is https://www.satyalok.in/

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
