The eligibility for the course is you need to qualify for your 12 exams mathematics and you must have scored more than 50 per cent marks in the board's exam. I choose this course due to the high demand for software engineers in the Market and my interest in software and coding part. You will surely go to enjoy this course. The faculty to students ratio in my branch is pretty good. It's about 80:1. The quality of teachers is mixed. Some teachers are really good. They teach you to motivate and support you. Most of the teacher is well qualified and good. But some teachers are the worst. Even if they have more than 30 years of experience but they teach very bad and do not even support students.

There is a very good opportunity for placement here. More than 700 companies come here and they hire more than 7000 students in different job profiles. Famous companies like Microsoft, HCL, Accenture, 8+ pointer is safe for getting placement

If you are doing the b.tech cse it will cost you 8 to 10 lakhs. There is a hike in fees till now for the past 1 year. If the fees get hicked it is generally applicable to freshers not for you. You got very good scholarship opportunities here. It conducts its own cucet exam in which if you score more than 30 per cent you became eligible for the scholarship. If you score more than 90 marks in cucet exam you got 100 scholarship. If you score more than 90 per cent on your 12 boards you get the 50percent scholarship. There is financial aid for the ex-army officer's daughter/son. If any students don't have their parents cu provide them free education.

College life at cu is extraordinary . Cu fest is the name of the annual cultural fest of the college. And #hack the fest is the name of tech fest in which hackathon, internship fair gaming night IPL auction , e sumbit, idea sumbission all these things happens. There is a departmental wise library in each block and one central library where you find all types of books self-help books, e-books, and different journals. There is one particular department named the department of students welfare. All the club comes and all the events at Chandigarh University are organised by this department. There is one specific block /complex dedicated to sports named sport's complex where there. Is a running track, badminton court kabbadi court, you find a basketball court on the main field. Hostels are average. You get the option to choose between 1 seater, 2 seaters, 4seater, and 5 seater room. There is an option to choose between ac and non AC rooms. The food quality is average sometimes you get really good food. Sometimes you get the really bad food to eat. It depends on your taste in food. But overall food is good and healthy. You got the proper hygienic food. Registration process is quite easy you can just register for your hostel on cuims which is the management website of CU. YOU can login into it with the credentials provideed by college. Or directly you acn come to admission block pay the fee and hostel is alloted to you.
