Remarks

I took an exam named CUCET which was online, you can get scholarship benefits through this exam. On the CU official website, we can find the fee details. The admission process was smooth, the CUCET authorities will do most of the work for you.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because of its high scope and placements. There is a great number of faculty members and there are too many students. Sometimes the classroom will be full. The teachers were gentle and efficient and they are knowledgeable. These exams are conducted within the time period of 2 months as MST 1&2 and final exams

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 180000 per year

Internships Opportunities

3.5

The internship at this college is high. Mahindra, Tech Mahindra, Wipro, HCl and many more. The stipend may vary from 15k onwards. The projects may include filing up forms to managing staff. There will certificate issued for internship.

Placement Experience

From the 4th sem onwards the placement starts Google, Microsoft, Amazon, etc The highest package a student received is 1.03crs and the average is 4.00lakhs. There is competition for placements, so min of 90% is required After I get the degree I would search for jobs with high placements

Fees and Financial Aid

I'm still in the first year so there hasn't been any fees hike as far as I know. The cost varies from the course, my course fees are 904000 per semester including exam and security fees. I got a scholarship from CUCET for the first year, it depends upon the mark you get. For the 2nd year and further you need to maintain a CGPA of 7.5 to get 50%.

Campus Life

3.5

Cu Fest and Hack The fest and many more. Books and journals are available in each of the blocks. For computer science students the classroom is not so good it has a decent school like room with the same tables and benches. Taking about sports and extra curricular activities their are huge options as it provides much diversity for these activities. South Indian club, bhangda club, music clubs, coding clubs.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostels are good. There are air ducts in hostel rooms which are switched on daily at the scheduled time. The cleaning is top-notch. We can give complaints in the WhatsApp group if there is any problem, they will resolve the problem within 48 hrs. The food meal is good at most. At dinner, they sometimes serve desserts which are good. After selecting that you want to stay in a hostel on the CU website, they will give you a seater(which is 5,4,3,2,1) you can change the seater if you wish There are PGs not so far from CU, and transportation is also not a problem. Hygiene might be a problem.

Hostel Fee: INR 90000 per year

My Experince at Chandigarh University: Campus Life, Learning and Growth

Likes

The campus is beautiful, spacious, and offers good infrastructure with modern facilities.
The university provides good exposure to technical courses, eventrs , clubs, and extracurricular activities.
The campus has good labs, a library, and facilities that support students academic development.

Dislikes

The fees are high and losing a scholarship due to cgpa requirements can create a significant financial burden.
More personalized mentorship and regular career guidance sessions would help student prepare for their future carees.
more internship opportunities would further improve students professional growth.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the CSE curriculum covers relevant subjects and provides a good foundation programming and computer science. It prepares students for futher studies and careers, through more industry-based projects and practical learning would be bemigficial. Exams include MSTs and ESTs, with a manageable difficulty level through regi;ar preparation.

Likes

college life of Chandigarh university is so good, all the events do happen .
teachers are so experienced and they are so supportive in here.
the placements in this university are great, all the big tech companies do visit while placements and provide jobs to the deserved students.

Dislikes

All the online courses should be reduced.
nothing is there in the university that is to dislike.
majority of the things are all good in our university.

Placement Experience:

The placemnets in the university starts from the 3 year only. companies comes in the 3rd year, students= can give interviews in this year, and they can get the NOC. wich means you can go for the job or the iinternship and there is no need to take the classes, because you are taking the indyustry level experience in the prior basis also.

Likes

campus life is absolutely banger and it is great to have friends here
crowd is bonkers , except some local peeps , they'd be behaving weird
major events like freshers and orientation , they bring crazzy artists

Dislikes

hectic schedules drain the soul of you .
frequent exams test that are totally unnecesary
attendance is another nuisance , having 75 percent is must

Placement Experience:

placements of 2.8 cr occured but it was only one , most of the placements packages go under 8 lpa and extra fees has to be paid in order to be eligible for placement drives and that too doen't ensure the placement

A TOUR TO CGC LANDRAN

Likes

Events are more frequent here and most of the stars from punjabi industry are called more often for film promotions
No ragging is there infact seniors are friendly and try to help juniors
TPP (training and placement program) is provided that help students to crack placements

Dislikes

Attendance criteria (minimum 75 % is essential to maintain to be eligible to give exams)
Class timings are fixed from 9:15 to 4:35 and you can not enter in between 10 to 12:00 PM as gates are closed for this duration
Strength is rapidly increasing as new courses are introduced which increases competition during placements

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent, from 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement students need to enroll in TPP(Training and placement program) in order to get eligible for campus placement, Many companies visit our campus for eg Capgemini, LNT, ZSCALER, EDIFECS, AMAZON, PWC, WATCHGUARD TECHNOLOGIES etc overall above 200 offerrs are made to our senior batch with the highest package of 32LPA and average package of around 4.5LPA. more than 60% of students get placed . I am also sitting for campus placement and wish to get placed soon

College Life is Fun, Various activities and events happen in and around college, you got to know about others and crowd is also decent, Mostly Students are from northern regions that is Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand .
Teachers are good and placement coordinators also help students to get good package on campus. a decent package can be bagged by a student if he/she seriously study and obtain a decent CGPA in exam. Make sure you clear all exams till 8th semester.
Infrastructure Is also good, laboratories are fitted with new desktops and campus size is also decent, Tuck shops and various Canteens are available inside the campus. Also Central Library is there inside the campus where students can study in exam t

Dislikes

The curriculum for 1st and 2nd semester is purely based on subjects that you studied in 11th and 12th, the advance versions of those topics are there in 1st and 2nd semester which make it difficult for students to get good grades.
The placement in other branches like Mechanical, electrical is mere, and one can face difficult in getting on campus placement if he/she belongs to these streams. Also Lack of practical knowledge is there in these streams, Theory is more focused.
If one opt for hostels, then the hostel facilities are not as good as it should be , the mess food is pathetic and one can face difficulty if he/she opt for hostel, also campartively hostel fees are also very high, whereas nearby Pg's are cheaper

Placement Experience:

placement is good in our college. Aveage package is 400000, and average package for cse stream is approx 500000. Various companies like alstom, infosys, accenture, TCS, Wipro, amazon, Walmart, JP Morgan chase and co. etc visit campus every year and recruit students. Approx 300+ companies visit campus and above 80% of cse students are placed but In other streams like ECE.EE and ME etc placements are campartively lower and students face difficulty in order to get placed. MY plan is job oriented i also want to get placed on campus and hope so i will get placed in a good company.
