MY views on Chandigarh University

There are three procedures by which you can take admission in CU(CHANDIGARH UNIVERSITY) Through JEE mains - your percentile will decide which branch you will get for CSE percentile of general student should be more then 80 for different branch percentile varies 60-85 Through 12th BOARD result - For CSE 85 percent above and you will get scholarship of 50% in tuition fees if you scored above 90% in board exam percentage varies according to your branch which you are going to choose. Through CUCET exam - It is the exam conducted by CU itself qualifying marks are 40 cutoff 100. Scholarship is provided on the basis of marks you obtained in CUCET exam. Al lover admission process is easy. CU have opened offices in my big cities like in Lucknow, Mumbai, Bangalore , etc. you can go nearby yours's and contact them directly for admission.

I choose the Btech in Computer Science and Technology . Its a creative & innovative field and my interest developed by putting all my imagination and turning them to insights Student to teacher ratio is depend on the class which you are attending for main subject and labs(like computer science, DT, Workshop, CAD) it is 1:30 and for other subjects like(Biology, math, physics, BEEE) it is 1:60. Every class is divided into two groups A and B. Boys to girl ratio is also good 7:10 . Mostly all teacher have Ph.D. degrees in their field of teaching. Some teachers are annoying but good at their teaching skills. Some teacher don't care about class they just come and teach and go For each semester there is 3 exam two of them are mid semester test and one if final. The final result including your practical's marks will decide your result. Above 75 is necessary for maintaining the scholarship.

College placement on paper are 6-7 lakhs(for CSE students) Student also get placement of 48 lakhs, 34 lakhs 25 lakhs etc. Microsoft , Samsung, Tisco , Infosys type companies visit in the campus. Almost every student get placement around 95%. In terms of placement college provide good opportunities and it depend on you how you will grab it. Highest package offers last year was 52 lakh for CSE student. All over placement is better for students.

Chandigarh University gives lot of opportunities to grab scholarship through their CUCET exam also on the basis of your class 12th board result and JEE mains percentile . You can even have 100% scholarship through CUCET exam after qualifying the necessary marks. University help you with your financial problems , there are lot of option like part payments , EMI , loans etc. Students here do Internship from 2nd year onwards because there is vast number of option to polish your skill lot of indifferent internship offers are available .The placement are really stable , if you really study in the college with dedication you can bag the topmost core companies like Google , Amazon , Microsoft . Recently a 3rd year CU student nailed 1.60Cr package.

The best part of the university is its social life, you meet people from different communities , states and culture . Lot of annual fest , DJ nights and events are conducted frequently. The campus is pretty big compared to other universities there is D block which has best Infrastructure and marvelous as well , there are lot of grounds , park and restaurants to chill out with friends. Every teaching building have its own library also there are Central libraries hugest among where you can find all the books you need and it opens till 10PM . the sports culture is the most popular , lot of students play different sports like cricket , volleyball , badminton ,basketball , rollball etc. but due to crowded , not everyone can play because the playground are already occupied .there are more than 10 clubs that focuses on Dance , competitive programming , social helps , art and craft etc. Most of the teachers here are supportive and helping.

In every room AC duct is given if not water cooler is there. 2-3 three fans according to type of room . Study table for each student in room is provided and LAN connection is also given to every students which is free of cost. Bed with drawers given , separate almery is give to every student. Workers come daily to clean your room and washroom except Sunday. Mess food is good. you get Varity in food . Non-veg is also cooked in food. Chole Baturay , Manchurian types of dishes you will also get. Two water cooler on every floor made available for students. Hostel is near to your class blocks it is just walking distance. hostel timing for boys are 10 PM . Hostel warden are friendly. No limit for number of day out but for night out you have to call your parents.
