Remarks
For admission in NIET, you have to give JEE mains exam then you are eligible for admission. The application for JEE mains generally comes out in December or January which you can find on NTA's official website. The application fee for general is Rs.750. For admission in NIET, you have to register for AKTU counselling with JEE mains score then according to your score you get admission to the branch you want. In NIET there is also another admission process for 15% seats which is called Management quota or Direct admission for which you have a good percentage in your class 12 and reservation benefits are available for SC/ST/EWS candidates according to AKTU norms.
Course Curriculum Overview
As NIET is only the first private institution in Uttar Pradesh which is AUTONOMOUS so college follows some AKTU curriculum but designs its own updated syllabus according to industry demand to make students industry-ready which is a plus point over other private institutions. NIET has a separate campus for first-year students where all the faculty members are very supportive and well qualified their teaching methods are very excellent as they try their level best to make students comfortable and able to understand everything. In my course, there is 8 semesters and as NIET is autonomous so college makes paper by itself and copies of students are checked inside the institute so you have to just focus and get concentrated during lectures and you get very good marks in end semester exams and before every end semester exams, the college conduct mid sems called sessional three times in a semester for internal marks.
Internships Opportunities
Students are allowed for internships from the 4 semester on-campus or off-campus and they get internships in different companies students get stipends according to their skills which are about 20k to 25k for 45 days. The college nowadays mainly works on a 5G project with the Capegimini and for that, a special lab is also set up and with that many different projects are also underway.
Placement Experience
After the 7-semester placements get started and companies begin to come for placement this year placement for fourth-year students started in June and ends up most probably in September or October. Companies like Infosys, Wipro, TCS, HCL, Honda, Tech Mahindra and so on. The highest package from college this year is offered by Amazon which is 44 lacs per annum which is grabbed by 6 students the average package is 4.5 lacs per annum and the lowest package is 3.5 lacs per annum. If I am talking about the placement percentage of college then college claimed the 100 per cent placement this year which is 2100+ placement but the general fact is about 96 percent of students of college get placed. I am looking for higher studies after the completion of my degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total fees of the college are 5,20,000 only for academics and overall is around 9,30,000. In the first year, you have to pay 1,53,450 then for the next three years 1,19,000. The college provides the scholarship given by the UP government only for UP domicile students and this scholarship is only for counselling process admitted students, not for direct admissions and college also provides many types of other scholarships for Non-UP domicile students who are from other states like for Bihar students there is Bihar KCC.
Campus Life
The annual fests are very less in my college as they only focus on studies and this is the thing which I really don't like about my college but tech fest is conducted after every 4-5 months. There are two libraries on the campus one is centralised and another is a small library, particularly for first-year students but if first-year students want to go to the centralised library then they are allowed to go and easily get the books. Sports and extracurricular activities are conducted once a year for 2 weeks in which all the sports are conducted. For those things there are too many clubs in the college which are run by seniors when you get into the college in the first year then many different clubs came to interact with you and ask you to join them and you can join as many clubs as you want.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel of the college is average as there are too many restrictions on hostelers. The rooms are good but the quality of food is not as much good. Menu is fixed for everyday of week . You have to register at the starting of the odd semester for hostel and the good thing about hostel fee is that you can pay hostel fee in installments but college hostel is much expensive then local rented room or PG so most of the students leave hostel after the first year and get shifted to a flat or PG.
