Remarks

The college was fun packed and lots of happiness. The infrastructure of the college can be improved further.

Entrance Preview

I got admission based on my 12th board marks.I scored 1150 out of 1200 which happened to be more than enough to get an admission. I chose this college because of the freedom that college provides to the students. The exposure available to the students is great. As i had a strong passion towards automobiles and science, I chose mechanical engineering as my major.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course structure was decent. The research work was bit lacking on the mechanical engineering department. Apart from curriculum there were many clubs which students can participate and develop their practical skills. The curriculum was based on choice based credit system, So students can choose their desired subject.

Internships Opportunities

The internship opportunities are provided in the college. Though the amount of companies visiting the campus of internships are fairly less. The stipend amount provided by the company was decent enough for the student. Mechanical, Computer Science and Electrical department students got the most internship opportunities.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placement and job opportunities in the university was excellent. Most of the students will get placed in a company before they leave out of the college. The companies which mostly visits the college are computer science department companies. Mechanical department also got decent amount of companies.

College Events

4

There were many events organised inside the campus. We had a cultural event named "Kuruksastra" which spans 4 nights and 3 days. A technical event named "Daksh" which spans 4 nights and 3 days. Two events named "Colosseum" and "Feura" are inter and intra college sports festivals respectively.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure was decent. Odd semesters we paid around 60k and for even semesters we paid around 40k. The fees structure was nicely balanced and gave us a detailed report on the split up of the fees. The college has a bank inside which provided education loan for the students.

Fees and Financial Aid

The students getting dean's list i.e top ten percentile of the department were given scholarship. The hostel students maintaining attendance above 90% were also given hostel scholarships. Apart from that students were given scholarships for being the subject topper.

Campus Life

3

The college life was amazing. The students were from the various parts of the country and had different culture and religions. The gender ratio was finely balanced. There were many extracurricular activities and sports played inside the campus. Each department organized their own department festivals and conducted many events.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostel facilities inside the university was adequate enough to lead a decent life. The food in the mess was decent and hi-gene. A PG guest outside college would cost around 10k per year. The mess and hostels fees inside the university was very nominal.

Alumni/Alumna

The University has a strong alumni network. The passed out students really contribute to the welfare of the students and brought some good placement opportunities to the college.

Exam Structure

Exam structure was nicely balanced. We had 3 internal examination, out of which best of 2 would be taken for an internal mark of 50. The end semester examination accounted for 50 marks. The internal examinations was schedule was bit hectic, as two exams was conducted on a single day.

Admission

Based on the 12th board marks, I was given a counselling date. I chose mechanical engineering. My university had a purely merit based admission process. There was also another quota based on JEE marks. There were 4 quotas namely, All India, Tamil Nadu, Trichy and Tanjore.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty of the college was overall decent. Bio-Tech department faculty were excellent as they mainly focused on research work. Their experience were immense enough so we could learn a lot of things. Some departments lacked the quality of teachers. But the overall knowledge processed by the faculty was great.
