Remarks
There are no eligibility criteria. It's just that if you have a good rank in JEE Main or in CUCAT, you get a scholarship. The application form is online. I didn't receive any reservation benefits. I would want the admission process to be more strict.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is good. It's very broad, but the downside is that it's very shallow. The faculty: student ratio is good. It's like 1:20 or so. Most of the professors are graduates of Chandigarh University itself. Some professors work very hard others do not so much. The quality is extremely uneven. The exams here are extremely frequent, but they are not difficult.
Internships Opportunities
There are some internship opportunities here as well. Like, good companies like Morgan Stanley visits to get intern after the end of 2nd year. There are companies like Walmart that come after 3rd year for hiring interns.
Placement Experience
There are many companies coming for campus placements, including big-tech companies like Microsoft and Google. But, remember that Google only comes to hire call centre guys, not Software Engineers, which is what people end up assuming.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are quite high but given that it's a private college, that is what people expect. Ample scholarship opportunities are there though. But, the scholarship can easily be taken away, remember that.
Campus Life
Social life is good for those who try to make it good. The campus is huge, and so is the number of students. So, if you want to make friends, you will have a lot of opportunities. There are people from all over the country.
Hostel Facilities
The hostels are clean and the meal quality is okay. Some hostel rooms are very small, but mine is quite spacious. The hostels are 4 seaters and 5 seaters only. There are no 3-seater or 2-seater hostels, according to what I've seen yet.
