Remarks

The university is overall good. But the rules for hostlers are way too strict than they should be. Security staff is also very rude.

Entrance Preview

I got admission without any entrance test. Got the admission only on the basis of my marks in diploma in electrical engineering.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

The course structure is very good. Well qualified staff. They focus on practical knowledge more than the theory part. Training on different subject matters. Also there are different clubs in the department which encourage you to learn more and more practically and theoretically.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, my college do provide internships in their own premises rather not a lot of students are intersested.

Placement Experience

4.5

There are a lot of Placements and job opportunities in my college. Approximately 200 IT companies, 20 Electrical core companies. And 10 to 20 companies for every technical and non- technical stream come for placemnts. The record for the placement in college is about 80%. That means about 80% of the students get placed in different companies every year.

College Events

4

Every year 9x tashan conduct their show to celebrate the new year called Tashan Night. CU cultural fest is organized, a technical fest every year where students from other colleges are also invited to show their technical skills. Every indian and weatren festival is celebrated with a cheer

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is also feasible. The fees structure is decide according to the course and the teaching quality of the departments. I don't think that the fee structure should be changed or smthing. Fee structure for hostels is also feasible and can be afforded by any person

Fees and Financial Aid

College provide scholarships according to the marks obtained by the student in thein first year of the course.

Campus Life

3

The gender ratio is 1:2. The Number of boys is more than the girls. One can meet people of any religion and caste, state in this college. There are some students from foreign too which covers 5% of the total students in the university. Most of the students are from punjab, Jammu &Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh.

Hostel Facilities

5

The are good. The mess has a large menu and variety of foods in it. The mess menu is reasonable for people from different states or regions. The hostel rooms are well ventilated. 24*7 electricity and unlimited wifi is also available. Wardens are also good.

Alumni/Alumna

The senior students at my time were quite helpful in our studies and other activities. They were very friendly and tought us how to survive till end of the corse.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is good. They don't allow to cheat

Admission

I went to admission cell. Bought the prospectus. Filled aal the forms chosing my course ror electrical engineering. Payed the fees and got the admission. Then went to hostel to see the rooms. Then filled a hostel admission form. Payed the hostel fees. Registered for the room. Also completed a simple registration process on the first day of college

Faculty

4.5

They are awsome. Everyone in the faculty know what they are doing and have to do. They are well qualified and teach with a charming face. All the faculty members have completed their phd's or persuing. No one is under qualified. Teachers have good practical and theoretical knowledge. They know how to teach and handle the students.

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Placement Experience:

Students generally become eligible for placement from 7th semester, with numerous major companies like wipro, cognizant and various tech startups visit the campus with various offers. The university sees a high percentage of students getting placed. The package are widely depending on various skill and codes. Furthermore while the highest package looks impressive on paper, the avg package remains modest for the majority of the batch. My personal plans after getting the degree focus on exploring independent entrepreneurial ventures rather than tradition corporate placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
