Remarks
The admission process was online. We need to apply the application online there would be no exams for it. The course is given based on our rank calculated using our intermediate and JEE marks. The application can be found on the official sastra website. there would be no reservation benefits in the college. the admission process was good.
Course Curriculum Overview
I was interested in Electronics and Communication Engineering. There are more than 5 teachers for each course each year. The teaching is good. The curriculum is good and it helps in understanding the course well through each semester. The exams are for every month and the semester exam will be after 3 monthly exams. The difficulty is normal we can good marks by studying.
Internships Opportunities
There are many companies offering their internship programs in the college.some are paid and some are free. And some foreign companies also provide internships based on the merit.The college will take care abouts the tickets and other money needed providing the stipends.
Placement Experience
The college will take care of the placements and internship programs we need to concentrate on and study well. Many companies are offering a job in SASTRA college, like HCL, TCS, etc., and more good companies the total average package is around 600000. After the 6th semester, we are eligible for our campus placements. Some companies will be giving offers based on the CGPA. I want to get a good job in the campus placement.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college fees are less when compared to other Universities. We need to pay 75000 for each semester. The college will be providing many scholarships which can be obtained by clearing some exams and by other methods. In the fourth year while we are doing our extra courses the college provides stipends.
Campus Life
College life is excellent here. There would be different types of fests like Kurukshetra for the cultural events and Daksh for the scientific events and flora for the sports events. This will be occurring once every year. The library here is so huge we can find all the needed and necessary books. And there are different types of clubs based on the category like cultural clubs and scientific clubs.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is good enough. Some rooms are normal and some are small. The Fees of the hostel are from 8000 to 18000 based on our choice of room. There are rooms with 1 member to 5 members and with a common bathroom and attached bathroom. based on that the fees are selected. But the messy food is not good enough, it will be good for eating and healthy but the taste is bitter and sweet based on the dishes with regional tastes.
