Remarks

The admission process was pretty simple, just had to submit board marks and Nata Result. I had to pay a fee of 2000 for filling out the form. Eligibility is to have 50% marks in Physics Chemistry and Maths in the 12th boards exam and the form and dates can be found on MSAP's website.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

End terms exams can be difficult as minimal gaps are provided so it's advisable to have some preparation from before the exams too instead of preparing just during the gaps. The college tends to finish exams quickly so as to have more classes

Internships Opportunities

3

As of now, I'm unaware of any companies affiliated with the college that offer internships as we have to do internships from the college in the 4th year or 5th year depending on the course program being followed for your batch. Internships are supposed to be a semester-long

Fees and Financial Aid

There is no fee hike since the college is already pretty expensive to study in already, the cost is around 4 lakhs per annum. Scholarships like State Scholarship, Post Metric Scholarship, and Respect to farmers child scholarship are provided

Campus Life

4

A college fest called Opus is held every year around the month of April and is supposed to be a week-long but till now we just had a 5-hour-long event due to covid. The library for MSAP is separate and well equipped. first-year classrooms had been great but the 2nd and 3rd-year classrooms not so much a new academic block is being made and classes are expected to begin there from next month, so hopefully the amenities there will be better, no ACs provided in any of the architecture classrooms. Sports competitions are held every now and then and everyone is free to apply, there are various social clubs like photography club, dance club, music club etc and you have to give an interview to get selected

Hostel Facilities

3

The room is pretty small and has a bed, a cupboard, a study table, an attached toilet, a fan and AC which is optional for first-year students but very limited from the next year, even the hostel blocks for boys from 2nd year aren't very good and unnecessarily expensive but the girl's hostel are still very good, so it is advisable for boys to find a PG or apartment from 2nd year. The mess meal of Food Court 2 is good and Food Court 1 is average considering it a mess meal, hostel can be easily applied from the college website, and a lot of PGs and Appartments are located around the campus

Admission:

The admission procedure is not tedious. After plus 2 and appearing for JEE 2 or NATA exams, candidates have to apply with that scores. After screening they will be called for interview. For validation purposes, all the original certificates will be scrutinized.

This is a very good College in terms of education and co-curricular activities. The events hosted in the College and the workshops are almost always paid for so it is hard if you don't have pocket money with you always.

Admission:

I applied to the college based on my score in the National Aptitude Test for Architecture (NATA). I also appeared in the JEE Main paper 2. However, the NATA score been good then JEE Main paper 2 so I said for the NATA counselling. I was allotted a seat in the institute in spot counselling. After the grant of the admission I was called to the campus to complete the procedural formalities for admission. I opted for the institute because it is one of the top institute for architecture studies in Mysore.

Remarks:

The Architectural education scene is still a work in progress, and the quality changes dramatically in a short period of time and hence the relevancy of my remarks here are questionable., Management has changed recently, the University of Mysore has taken over, and it brings bigger resources, better integration with other university facilities and it's government-like administration with it's pros and cons. It would be wise to personally visit the facilty.
