VGEC, BE, Computer Engineering

Reviewed on Jul 27, 2022(Enrolled 2021)

Remarks

there is no any kind of special entrance exam to take the addmission for undergraduate courses in VGEC(don't know about post graduation courses) . we just have to apply for the college through ACPC. ACPC gives you the addmission on basis of merit and reservation category for SC and ST.

Course Curriculum Overview

I am a student of 2nd year computer engineering. i have chosen this course over any other the only reason is my interest and passion to learn computer science. there are very intellegent and well educated ffaculties to teach us. most of all the faculties have completed their PHD in their own field. GTU organizes the TERM EXAM and all so mostly it's on time and paper in easy to moderate

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 3500 per year

Internships Opportunities

mostly college guide us to get interned from well known companies there is no special things like on campus placement. wae have to apply for it on our own to get interned. but yes faculty members help us a lot to get internship

Placement Experience

4.5

from the sixth semester onwards, you are eleigible for placements, there are so many reputed companies,, who come for the placements everry year like torrent power, wipro, VI, EMNEM, L&T and so many...mostly around 70-75% students gets placed among all. average around 6-8 LPA for computer and IT department student and overall around 4 LPA including otherr branches

Fees and Financial Aid

as you all know VGEC is one of the well known GOVERNMENT institutes of our state, fee structure is very easy ..no any extra fees...including every small charges total fee is just around 1500 per semester..college also hel[ps to avail many government scholarships like MYSY, DIGITAL GUJARAT, NMMS, etc

Campus Life

college organizes an annual sports event called VISHWA CUP every year (not organized since last a2 years due to pandemic)..as GTU CAMPUS is inside the college, so more oppotunities are there...there is a well maintained library with lots of books...also there is outdoor basketball court, volleyball court, cricket ground...indoor badminton court...also there are students clubs for robotics, NCC,NSS and IEEE clubs are there to improve students physical strrength and knowledge

Other Applied Colleges

L.D. College of Engineering - [LDCE] | Bachelor of Engineering [BE] (Computer Engineering)

i preferred vgec on LD engineering college..instead of better placement..i chose better overall college life and great aminities and noise pollution free area out of the city

The parul university review

Likes

The campus view is awesome we all will see new things everytime and it feels fresh at the morning.
The personal development of particular students have been in focus of every faculty which is awesome.
The behaviour towards students of every professor is the best all are understanding and calm towards students.

Dislikes

There is a system of gate pass means whenever u need to go out of main gate with the permission we are not allowed to go.
In hostel the washrooms are not so clean for the students with common washroom hostel
The mess food are boring sometimes and the food of the food seems to be same everytime

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I have a great interest in coding and this field is based on coding so i choosed the computer field. -The curriculum of the college are based on the things which will help us in future for real world application. -The way they i based on pdf means they make a full note of a subject in pdf and explain that and which makes clear to us so I don't think they should change. -There is a enough time to study for exams it depends on us how me manage it and the difficulty level is medium it is based on what we have understood till now in studies we have studied.

My Life at Parul University as a computer science student

Likes

The collage infrastructure is really good and vibrant, it is well developed.
Campus life is really good, there are food courts, playground, libraries avaliable.
The whole campus has wifi avaliable, they've got atm too.

Dislikes

there are quite a few restrictions like no roaming allowed after 9:30pm.
mess food is not so good, its managable but sometimes it feels miserable
for every small thing to be done, lots of paperwork is required whether you need to go outside the campus or needs a NOC

Placement Experience:

in my unversity, proper placements usually start from 7th sem, however after 4th sem, the collage provides the opputunity to go for impact traning if youve got more than 60% in your 10th, 12th and throughtout the semesters from that traning top permorning student get a chance to sit for product-based companies. as of now (jan 2026), the highest placement recorded is 60lpa at microsoft, the average is aroudn 3.5 lps to 6 lpa, most of the recruiting companies are service based such as capgemini, infosys, tcs etc. around 200-250 students gets palce after heavy filtering, i plan to go for higher studies,
