Remarks

Should have cleared class 12th. You can easily find the application form and date on the google or college website also since they spend lots of money on promotions only so where ever you see the ad of Chandigarh University just click and get notified. No reservation over here they take all the students and every 12th pass student can easily fulfill his degree of Engineering over here. But it's mandatory to score at least 60% in the 12th PCM stream since you are supposed to sit in placement so many companies asked for it.

Course Curriculum Overview

Because I scored low in JEE so was getting Agriculture in Government northeastern states colleges and I want to become a CSE engineer so that is why I chose this course in this college. A student who has registered for my course in the year 2020 for B.E.- CSE is 4000 and above. And there are 80-120 students in each section and 10 subjects so around 55 sections of CSE for the 2020 batch. So around 100 Teachers for 4000 students. Many faculties have 10 to 15 years of experience in teaching but the %tage is very less. The majority of the faculty is young just in college about doing their masters alongside they are teaching over here. So not good at teaching neither they are that experienced.

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 200000 per year

Internships Opportunities

2.5

Many companies visit the campus and hire students depending on the roles like technical Engineer jobs, Web development, Android Development, etc. They ask for a good project depending upon their domain and look for good coding skills as well.

Placement Experience

90% students get placed. Many known companies visit the campus like Microsft, Amazon, Google, Wipro, TCS, Infosys, OLA, Wallmart, OYO etc and many more. I am planning to pursue higher studies like GATE and MTECH. Highest placement off campus 1.7 crores. On campus highest package given was 35-40 LPA. Also Average was around 4-5 LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure for our batch was around 90000 per semester also 10%hike is done every year. Many scholarships are being provided On the basis of boards, JEE, and also the basis of the CUCET entrance exam. They also provide special scholarships to army students and sports persons.

Campus Life

2.5

Fest is very regular over here also many celebrities keep visiting the campus for their movies promotions or concerts etc. Nice library and collections of books. They promote sports but don't have good facilities and equipment for the sports they are meant for those who are in college teams and even they are of bad quality. The best equipment is reserved for foreign students.

My Experince at Chandigarh University: Campus Life, Learning and Growth

Likes

The campus is beautiful, spacious, and offers good infrastructure with modern facilities.
The university provides good exposure to technical courses, eventrs , clubs, and extracurricular activities.
The campus has good labs, a library, and facilities that support students academic development.

Dislikes

The fees are high and losing a scholarship due to cgpa requirements can create a significant financial burden.
More personalized mentorship and regular career guidance sessions would help student prepare for their future carees.
more internship opportunities would further improve students professional growth.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the CSE curriculum covers relevant subjects and provides a good foundation programming and computer science. It prepares students for futher studies and careers, through more industry-based projects and practical learning would be bemigficial. Exams include MSTs and ESTs, with a manageable difficulty level through regi;ar preparation.

teachers are so experienced and they are so supportive in here.
the placements in this university are great, all the big tech companies do visit while placements and provide jobs to the deserved students.

All the online courses should be reduced.
nothing is there in the university that is to dislike.
majority of the things are all good in our university.

Placement Experience:

The placemnets in the university starts from the 3 year only. companies comes in the 3rd year, students= can give interviews in this year, and they can get the NOC. wich means you can go for the job or the iinternship and there is no need to take the classes, because you are taking the indyustry level experience in the prior basis also.

campus life is absolutely banger and it is great to have friends here
crowd is bonkers , except some local peeps , they'd be behaving weird
major events like freshers and orientation , they bring crazzy artists

Dislikes

hectic schedules drain the soul of you .
frequent exams test that are totally unnecesary
attendance is another nuisance , having 75 percent is must

Placement Experience:

placements of 2.8 cr occured but it was only one , most of the placements packages go under 8 lpa and extra fees has to be paid in order to be eligible for placement drives and that too doen't ensure the placement

A TOUR TO CGC LANDRAN

Likes

Events are more frequent here and most of the stars from punjabi industry are called more often for film promotions
No ragging is there infact seniors are friendly and try to help juniors
TPP (training and placement program) is provided that help students to crack placements

Dislikes

Attendance criteria (minimum 75 % is essential to maintain to be eligible to give exams)
Class timings are fixed from 9:15 to 4:35 and you can not enter in between 10 to 12:00 PM as gates are closed for this duration
Strength is rapidly increasing as new courses are introduced which increases competition during placements

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent, from 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement students need to enroll in TPP(Training and placement program) in order to get eligible for campus placement, Many companies visit our campus for eg Capgemini, LNT, ZSCALER, EDIFECS, AMAZON, PWC, WATCHGUARD TECHNOLOGIES etc overall above 200 offerrs are made to our senior batch with the highest package of 32LPA and average package of around 4.5LPA. more than 60% of students get placed . I am also sitting for campus placement and wish to get placed soon

College Life is Fun, Various activities and events happen in and around college, you got to know about others and crowd is also decent, Mostly Students are from northern regions that is Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand .
Teachers are good and placement coordinators also help students to get good package on campus. a decent package can be bagged by a student if he/she seriously study and obtain a decent CGPA in exam. Make sure you clear all exams till 8th semester.
Infrastructure Is also good, laboratories are fitted with new desktops and campus size is also decent, Tuck shops and various Canteens are available inside the campus. Also Central Library is there inside the campus where students can study in exam t

Dislikes

The curriculum for 1st and 2nd semester is purely based on subjects that you studied in 11th and 12th, the advance versions of those topics are there in 1st and 2nd semester which make it difficult for students to get good grades.
The placement in other branches like Mechanical, electrical is mere, and one can face difficult in getting on campus placement if he/she belongs to these streams. Also Lack of practical knowledge is there in these streams, Theory is more focused.
If one opt for hostels, then the hostel facilities are not as good as it should be , the mess food is pathetic and one can face difficulty if he/she opt for hostel, also campartively hostel fees are also very high, whereas nearby Pg's are cheaper

Placement Experience:

placement is good in our college. Aveage package is 400000, and average package for cse stream is approx 500000. Various companies like alstom, infosys, accenture, TCS, Wipro, amazon, Walmart, JP Morgan chase and co. etc visit campus every year and recruit students. Approx 300+ companies visit campus and above 80% of cse students are placed but In other streams like ECE.EE and ME etc placements are campartively lower and students face difficulty in order to get placed. MY plan is job oriented i also want to get placed on campus and hope so i will get placed in a good company.
