Brief about CU

A minimum of 75% (80 for specialization) in the science stream is required, and after that CUCET test is there (Not mandatory), JEE mains marks are also seen, but for a scholarship only, the 12th board marks are considered more. The admission process was good. But this year they have taken too many admission, which I feel that it is too much as compared to the campus and the placements.

I choose this course as AI and Ml are growing fields, and at that time there were only some colleges having specialization courses, with good packages and placements. Some faculty members are too polite and interactive, knowledgable and experienced. But there are some faculty who don't converse well with the class, overall a mixed type of faculty, similar to other universities. Here each faculty teaches more than one subject. The teaching method is convenient for all to understand. Term exams had a 2-3 day gap in between each exam, and till now it was online mode, so cannot comment much on the level of the papers, in the end, they were objective type only. This time it's physical mode so it would be clear what level of exams will there be.

Internships are from two types of companies, first are the startups snd the second are the well-established ones . For CSE student's roles offered for internships include SDE intern,web development intern etc from companies like Amazon , cognizant etc.

From the 3rd semester itself companies start visiting the campus for internships and PPOs, the highest packages offered are 52lpa and 1.7 Cr(International). The average packages offered are around 5.5 LPA. The companies like TCS, Amazon etc do visit campus. Mass recruiters are obviously more here. According to the placement stats, till now there have been around 9500+ placements. We can say that most students get placed, others are into higher studies, startups or opt for off-campus (Non-TPP).

Tution Fees for the general CSE are 80000, and for specialization, it is 95000. This fee can be reduced through scholarship on basis of either 12th marks or JEE marks or even the CUCET. Scholarships can range upto 50% easily. I got 20% through CUCET. The fee hike is not much in tution fee, but it has been there in hostel fee, from 90000 they have made it 100000 now, and now more hostel are being made along with too many students.

There are various Hackfest , Hackathons held every month in the university . Apart from this , there are even annual fests , fresher's party where movie stars come and join , singer , like benny dayal also visit the campus . Talking about the libray , there are 2-3 libraries one of which is the central library which is really big . Digital Libraries are also there. Sports activities like Basketball , Football , Badminton , Table tennis , cricket are there . Half of the classrooms are air conditioned well , but others are reely hot . There are different clubs like interact club , DSW etc.

In the hostel, the rooms are mostly 4-seater and 5-seaters, there is a central cooler attached to each room. No room has AC, a study table, an almirah, and a bed with storage space are provided, rest all things we need to buy (like mattress, daily utilities). For every 5 rooms, a common washroom is there. Mess food is average, sometimes good, sometimes not, but there are so many restaurants and shops inside the campus, one can eat from anywhere, the mess menu of a week is provided prior so that we can decide accordingly. The hostel here is as of now full. There is even a waiting list for students, the university is into adding a new hostel building, and construction is going on, but still, as of now, I believe the student-to-hostel ratio is more. I am having a university hostel in NC, There are other hostels like LC, and Zakir which are boys' hostels and for girls, Tagore and Sukhna hostels there.
