Remarks

Students should be passed out the higher secondary exam. After getting the report card for the exam, students should apply to the university. The merit list is made first according to HS results. Then admission is done. If there are any vacant seats then the merit list is published again and the same process is followed once again.

Nowadays semester system is followed and the term exam is taken after six months. The process of the exam is secure and effective. Passing the term exam within this University is not so easy. It is a famous University.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is medium and it is not very tough to go on studies within this University for the middle class. The university is usable for students too who are financially weak as it provides several types of scholarships like the Vivekananda Scholarship, Minority Development Scholarship, etc. Students also can get Student Credit Card from West Bengal Government.

Campus Life

The hostel facility is present there. The residential students are kept to proper rules and regulations. Student Cultural Club takes care of their additional needs and publish their performance. The environment of the campus is very related to education there.

Remarks:

There are no negetive comments except timely exams. The exams taken on semester basis is usually late by 2-3 months and the result given is also very late due to which the students faces some problems.

The college doesnt provide any internship from its side nor does it provide any good placement. However about 50% of the students get placed by applying in off campus places. The teachers help us find good law firms for internships though.

Admission:

I applied for the entrance exam conducted by the college itself. The exam was conducted in the college premises in offline mode in may. The criteria of selection was 50% on basis of 12th standard results and 50% according to the performance in the entrance exam. The merit list was put up around the last week of may. I got my name there and applied for seeking admission and completed the further procedures.

I appeared for the entrance test conducted by the university of Calcutta which was conducted in tur 1st week of may. The exam was conducted in an offline mode. When the results were out and the cutoff was declared, I found that I had cleared the cutoff. Then I put my form for counseling and out of the colleges available I chose this college for my further studies.

Good in education and also fun. Renowned. Inexpensive. Experienced teachers. Lots of extracurricular activities. Co-operative staff. No ragging. The campus is close to nature. Infrastructure is old and in poor condition.
