Remarks

I entered this college with an MHT CET score. I am a general candidate. The applications for the admission process or any other like fee waiver must visit the official website sinhgad.edu. If you are in caste, must contact the principal for many benefits of reservation. The faculties ask for any documents, even the 10th class marksheet. For fee waivers, the process is too long. You will have to research to get a scholarship because staff don't actually help you with that.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose this course by looking at the previous placement statistics. The faculty-student ratio is about 1:7 But the teaching faculties are very good and helpful. The faculties are highly qualified with a lot of teaching experience. But, they lack practical industry experience. The exams are held on time with moderate difficulty. Most of the questions are stuck to the syllabus itself. it was not a big deal to pass, you can crack those exams, even before studying for a week of exams.

Placement Experience

4

Most direct placements are offered to Computer science, electrical, electronics and telecommunication engineering, and information technology. Companies like TCS, Philips, Havells, etc visited during our batch. The highest package offered was 27 LPA, and the average package was about 6.5 LPA. profiles like as a fresher, assistant manager, etc were offered. About 75% of students got placed. If I would not get a direct placement, my plan was to go for an off-campus placement. After TCS I changed a lot of companies, currently having 42 LPA in an MNC.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is quite expensive, especially for the middle class like me. The general candidate whose family income is less than 1.5 lac can get some tution fee waivers. The category caste students have a lot of scholarships available. You will have to research it. I got a campus placement from TCS of 6LPA.

Campus Life

3.5

Annual fests are conducted in September or January as per college staff decisions. The libraries are actually bigger than expected and with all the useful resources and books you need during your course. Classrooms are well aided with speakers and other facilities for an extraordinary experience. You can join any sports club as per your interest. Football and cricket are bigger clubs and a championship of this is held. A lot of student clubs are made to help students. Also, a few NGOs are run by students.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Don't expect a luxurious room, but it is okay to adjust as per the cost. Wifi don't actually work all times. The meal is good enough and nutritious., Definitely not as tasty as it should be. Hostel is really affordable. Because the facilities provided are good enough.

Other Applied Colleges

Vishwakarma Institute of Information Technology - [VIIT] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Engineering)

Fees issues and my other issues. My uncle was professor at SCOE .

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Companies started sending their placements form to college groups from starting of the 7th semester. For particular branches, particular companies visited. Many companies send their placement forms this year. But each selected a max of 2-3 candidates only. In the strength of 76, 15 got placed on campus this year. Selection rates or placements criteria were too low.

Focusing on student's attendence rather than focusing on students concepts. College is not focusing in development of students only paperwork is done. No conceptul teaching nor practical. By doing this stuff we can get a btech degree but not the knowledge a btech student should have.
