NIET Noida, B.Tech, Computer Science and Engineering

Reviewed on Aug 20, 2022(Enrolled 2019)

Remarks

I got admission through my UPSEE counseling. UPSEE is state level entrance exam for Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam technical university of Uttar Pradesh, AKTU has soo many Engineering colleges throughout the entire state.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I choose B. Tech in computer science and engineering, as I want to become a software developer. And I have heard that NIET is very serious about studies and placements, the teachers are also very co-operative and helpful in nature. We have a total of three sessional in a semester and 1 final semester.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 105700 per year

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Companies like Infosys, Amazon, Wipro, cognizant, Capgemini, etc. offer internship opportunities with an appropriate stipend for CSE/IT students. Some of the company training programs are also placed in which we are assigned to make one major project.

Placement Experience

From the 6th semester, students are eligible for campus placement. Niet gives 100% placements. The highest package was 44 LPA from Amazon and the average is 6 LPA. It is quite good in placement and the staff is very serious about it.

Fees and Financial Aid

The 1st year fee is - 1040000. 2nd year onwards it's 105700. And if you want to take a hostel then it's:88000. The college provides UP scholarship opportunities which we can fill by ourselves and submit to the college.

Campus Life

NIET focuses on studies only, so there are no fest or DJ nights at all. There are only sports tournaments and festivals celebrated in the hostel only. It is undoubtedly best in studies but no fests and concerts. There are many books present in the library, almost the latest and old books.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

There are three-seater rooms mostly, you will be provided with a bed, tabled and mattress. Only 6 rooms are AC and the rest are non -AC. Few rooms have an attached washroom. You can keep the cooler of your own, they will not provide one. The quality of food is good, very better than pgs and all.

Hostel Fee: INR 88000 per year

Other Applied Colleges

Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology - [GCET] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)

Because it's placement percentage is decreasing.

Overall Feedback for College - Admission , Placement , Course , Faculty , Events

Likes

the security is nice at my college like proper cctv and guards , apart from that labs , and my dept is too good. Ac classroom and labs
They have provided average placement like most of companies are mass hiring like tcs and accenture ..and only few companies come to offer big package
Infrastructure is good but there is need of reconstruction at some places the water is ticking in rain season continuously, and curriculum is okay okay not that much relevant to industry , they taught text books rather than the real practical cases

Dislikes

The examination checking - the student who is cr or having any relation with teachers got highest marks without writing the answer properly
The food canteen first of all the canteen is off from the past 1 or 2 year and now it reopen but it sells dirty food , waste foods
The college professor support , they are not that much supportive

Course Curriculum Overview:

coding I am interested in coding that why I offer this course It provide some courses but not all courses are related to real world they have to use practical examples and make students aware of the real industry According to me the time and frequency is okay of exam

Reality of NIET plot 19

I will say it's one of the top college under Aktu . Better than other Aktu colleges in few terms like it is autonomous so it has a bit different syllabus and my college focuss on formal talking and technical communication from 1st semester so that the students are ready for facing interviews. In terms of infrastructure, I don't like it much as it in more like a school than a college and the hostels are terrible, you will get ill always . Also there is no fest in NIET and the few small ones are boring and waste of time....Read More
