Remarks

There is an entrance exam named cucet which is also a scholarship exam. Eligibility is one should have more than 60% in 12th. If one has below 90% in 12th boards he/she needs to qualify for the exam by 33%. Also, this is a scholarship exam..criteria for the scholarship are based on marks. If one gets more than 40. marks will get a 15% scholarship and so on. I found the application form via the counselor. No I don't want to see any improvement in admission process

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I choose this course because I was interested in computer science. Coming up to faculty. Chandigarh University has a huge no of facilities. A few of them are really very helpful. In 1st year faculties are not up to the mark. But later in the 2nd year onwards, facilities are really knowledgeable and helpful. There are approx 65-70 students in every class. Has about 8k students in cse itself All teachers are highly qualified (PhDs and doctorates) There teaching method is really good Specially the aged ones. We have end semester exams and one can clear the exams If he/she has studied well and is a sincere student who focuses on class

Internships Opportunities

4

I don't have much idea about this Because I m in 2nd year right now. My senior internship is provided by cu. But you also u need to find an internship on your own To make our goal. The internship stipend was 1.7 lakh to a student in 3rd year.

Placement Experience

3.5

From the 7th semester students become eligible for placement. Companies visited are Google, Microsoft, Nokia,NatWest, Teleperformance, Linux, Samsung, etc. Highest package offered in 2021-2022 placement was 1.7 crore per annum. The average package offered is 6-7lpa. My plans are campus placement. After that pursue MTech in private.

Fees and Financial Aid

During my admission year fees were 90k per semester and 90. hostel fees per year. Not in 2022 it is 1.10 lakh per semester and 1.10.lakh per year for hostel. Scholarship is based on 12 th result. 20-25% scholarship with 80-90% in 12th. 50 % scholarship with 90-95% in 12th. Also there is a entrance scholarship test Which offers scholarship to Students Campus jobs in cu are as teachers medical staff Management 40-60k salary to teachers

Campus Life

4

Campus Life of CU is really awesome. Chandigarh University has one of the next infrastructures as compared to all other universities.CU has a green campus provided with all facilities on the campus itself. Annual fest name cutest is one of the best fests of cu. Many stars come in cu. Students get a chance to perform on stage. Cufest is conducted in even semester every year. Cu has 13 libraries (one library) in each block adding one Central library which opens till evening at 9 pm. There is a good collection of books in the library. Also, pcs are available in the library for digital learning. Classrooms have projectors in class itself Wifi classroom Charging port at ever desk.for laptop. AC are not there in classes. Cu has sports campus with trainers as well Sports like basketball volleyball football badminton and many more are available. CU focuses of academics as well as extra curricular activities such as dancing singing guitar, fashion, modelling etc Workshop of such activities happens every month

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
