Entrance Preview
HBS is the University of Brilliance. It provides unbiased education facility for any eligible MBA aspirant with a good entrance score. Any student having a good score in CAT, MAT, CMAT, GMAT, XAT or ATMA can apply. Even college organizes their entrance exams for which you need to fill the entrance application form. Two rounds of Group discussions (GDs) and 2 rounds of Personal Interviews (PIs) are conducted. Based on the performances of all these rounds and score, the students are selected. Work experience acts as an added advantage also.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum follows a well-designed course structure. During the first year students build a firm, broad foundation of general management concepts and skills across all the key disciplines. In the final year all students have a choice for their specialization, major and minor, in areas of Marketing, Finance, Human Resource and International Business as per the institute norms.The flexibility of choosing major and minor as dual specialization allows a student to build cross functional competencies.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The duration of the course is 2 years. The fees for two years is Rs.720,000/-. All the payments have to be made on or before the date mentioned. The fee can either be paid through RTGS (Real Time Gross Settlement) or in the form of a DD / Pay Order drawn in favor of Hyderabad Business School, GITAM University” payable at Hyderabad. A lot of banks are offering education loans at a very attractive rate of interest.
Campus Life
In the new campus we need some more improvements in infrastructure like Wi-Fi facilities and latest equipment in lab. We also have problem with the seating in new classroom and also improved Sports facilities for MBA students and improvement in skill development programs like workshops and seminars. I feel that HBS should also get more familiarity in GITAM. This will make HBS more familiar for campus placements.
Faculty
We have good mentorship for students with all professors for guiding us. Unique feature is that along with practical knowledge we are also taught theory part more elaborately. We also have distance education facility for working professionals so that they can learn while working on job which make our institute more vibrant. Our dean and director Prof. SS. Prasad Rao is very energetic and lead us as an example. He enables us to explore opportunities in the business environment.
