All India Jat Heroes Memorial College Rohtak, BA, Geography

Reviewed on Nov 29, 2022(Enrolled 2022)

Remarks

• Anyone who has passed 12th class can apply for this course, only criteria is that the person should have passed his 12 th class successfully. • All the details of application fees, dates were available on the website of dhe and the application was also available on that platform. • No reservations taken. • I want the website to work properly as it doesn't function properly and the fees submitting structure is also really complicated and online and offline both ways should be there to submit fees as only online fees is acceptable there.

Course Curriculum Overview

• I choose this course because I have interests in the subjects present in this course e.g Geography. • Students generally come less in the class as out of 150 only 40-50 students attend on regular basis. • The faculty is average and have old fashioned methods of teaching but some are supportive as well and helpful as well. • The exams are going to happen in December 3 rd week and I got to know from the seniors that passing exams is easy but scoring high is tough as the exam is set moderately.

Class Size: 150Course Fees: INR 10650 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

• The cost to study in this college is really affordable for middle class and lower class as well and one will hardly face any financial problem in this college. • I didn't get any scholarship, financial assistance and job on campus and I didn't have a stipend.

Campus Life

3.5

• Only one or two fests happen here in which one is the youth fest and other are science fest or sports fest sometimes , the most famous youth fest is generally organised in the month of December or January and summer is there for science fest. • Mostly all kinds of books are available in the library and new books and journals are brought for the students timely. • The classroom is just like a normal classroom and no nice facilities are there as only benches, fan and a blackboard is there. • A cricket ground is there and teams are made of many sports by the college staff but no regular practice is there and facilities are also less. • I don't know any website, social group but a environment club is run by a bunch of students.

The OCS links us to top news channels in the country, digital media companies, PR firms, ad agencies, and content production houses. The seniors have bagged job positions ranging from multimedia journalists, podcasters, digital strategists, sub editors, to corporate communicators. Through our constant intercation with the industry and practice of portfolios and mock interviews, we are fully ready for the professional arena.

A Great option, if you can bear the rowdiness of Haryanvi culture.

Likes

Top of the line infrastructure and facilities in classrooms.
Very good choice and quality of food. Multiple cafeterias.
Robust and excellent student led initiatives including clubs and events.

Dislikes

Major issue is presence of disruptive, heavily misbehaving students, mostly from villages in Haryana
Very far from the city with connectivity going through village roads

Placement Experience:

Placements are offered at Final year of the degree. I am not opting for placements but University seems to be trying it's best to give all students the opportunity. Atleast 5 companies have offered us positions. Mostly in the education field. They are medium to large companies.

My Positive Journey at JGU

Likes

My Overall Experience at JSLL has been very positive.

Placement Experience:

I get so annoyed when people assume my English degree means i am just going to end up teaching at a school. Our placements show we are taking on corporate roles in content strategy, UX writing, public policy, and even training AI models. I have seen people from my program getting hired by recruiters like Republic Media Network, ITC Hotels, Simplotel, Growth Jockey, and IOTA Informatics. Whether I want to go into publishing, consulting, or corporate communications, the doors are wide open for roles that actually matter right now.

Where Learning Meets Success

Likes

My Overall Experience at college has been very positive.

Placement Experience:

I feel pretty secure about my career because our training opens door that normal degrees just can't match. Our seniors land roles as risk analysts and foreign policy researchers, even secruing great spots at top think tanks right after graduation. Some even interned at Niiti Consulting, and others got into ShowTime Consulting and Stimuler. Seeing people land roles at Lead Tech and the BCG Graduate Apprenticeship Program gives me massive confidence for placements.

Admission Process The admission process is too fast forward but My admission is made in online mode so it's easier for me. The Maharshi Dayanand University releases its form on its official website. The form is a bit complicated. So you can fill out that form with the help of Google and YouTube. After the forms are filled out, College Staff checks the eligibility. One has to clear only the cutoffs and he is good to go. And Management of the college is well enough but has a scope of improvement in some of the admin work as most of the college work is offline despite the fact that fees are paid online but many of the things need to be changed. Hoping for the best...And Some relaxation is given in the cutoff for scheduled castes Teaching review and Student Ratio If You wanna know the theoretical student ratio then it's 60-65 but on the ground level, it decreases to 50 because some students don't bother to come to college .
