Remarks
if you want to join sastra university you must score more cgpa in the 12th or more percentile in jee mains. You will be notified based on your rank given by the university shortlist when you applied for this college. You will get different courses based on your rank. The top courses are IT, CSE, ECE, EEE, etc. You can search on the college website www.sastra.edu for an application form. You can know about fee structure on this website. There are no reservation benefits for other state students but they provide this for Tamil students. I think there is no need for improvement to get admission to SASTRA.
Course Curriculum Overview
I got a seat in ECE and I came to know that the faculty for this course is good. So I choose ECE. Faculty: student ratio is 1:18. it is better when the ratio will be like this and we can know the standard of this college. The Qualification of the faculty is PG or Ph.D. They will teach everything in depth. We have 3 term exams for the semester and the difficulty is above average.
Internships Opportunities
Companies like cogoport , and Comcast will provide internships with stipends of 25000 to 40000 per month for different roles such as data scientist, software engineer, etc. You have to do a mini project 4th, 5th, and 6th semesters and a major project in the 8th semester and you have to show the best output to score more marks.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for campus placements in the 6th semester. Companies like INFOSYS, BOSCH, TCS, DELOITTE, COMCAST, COGNIZANT, etc will visit sastra to hire students. The highest package for this college last year is 42 LPA from adobe company. The average package is 6.5 LPA. Nearly 95% of students will be placed. After my degree, I want to join in better company with a better package.
Fees and Financial Aid
The first-semester fee will be 68000 and 5% increase in the fee for every year. You have to score above 7.5 CGPA to get a scholarship every semester. You will get 10000 per semester if you were eligible. I got placed in Matrimony for Software Engineer Role with 5 CTC.
Campus Life
There will be an annual fest named Theta and a Technical fest named Elcom Dias will be conducted in the month of march. In the library, you can find different types of books. The nature of the classroom is good. You can play either indoor or outdoor games on the college ground itself. There is an app called StudentVersity in the play store to know all details about sastra and u can access student information in this app.
