What Students Say

Likes

Campus is too much big
You can explore so many things here and going to enjoy the campus.
Nature and experience of faculties are good

Dislikes

Sone of the faculties are so rude to students
Weather is too cold during winters

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose did course because I have a passion for this course. The faculties are good, you can't find any problem with them. All faculties are well qualified and you like their teaching methods. In between 1 semester, you have to give 2 MSTs which are conducted online. It was not done much difficult to pass the exam if you study then you will get good marks in exams.

Class Size: 72Course Fees: INR 106000 per year

Internships Opportunities

I didn't know much about internships because I am new to this University. But you can get so many companies for internships and you can get a good amount for internships. There are so many companies through which you can get internship offers and earn a good amount of money.

Placement Experience

4.5

I didn't know more about placement because I am new in college but according to what I listen from my seniors that placements are good at this University. You can get an internship in the third semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are not so high in comparison to other universities like LPU and others. You can also get many scholarships here. The name of the scholarship is cucet which you can avail of easily by giving the cucet exam.

Campus Life

Life inside the campus is great. The campus is so much big and you can explore many things here. So many events are held regularly. You are going to enjoy the campus so much. Recently Tony Kakkar and many singers and superstars come to Chandigarh University to perform.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostel facility is good but not the best. You are going to find some difficulty in the hostel. Rooms are small and you get a common bathroom for 6-7 rooms. But bathrooms are clean and hygienic. You got lifts in all the hostels and you also have gym facilities which I think is very good for us. You got hygienic food in mess and the taste of the food is good.

Hostel Fee: INR 100000 per year

Admission

You must have a minimum of 70% in the 12th boards. You can find the application form from the cucet website and the application fee is 1000. You can fill out the application form between December and January for the first cucet exam. After that Chandigarh University will conduct an online exam for its entrance. According to your marks in that exam, you can avail of the scholarship. Based on the cues I got a scholarship of 30%. I didn't know the benefits of reservation but reservation is also available here. No, I didn't want to see any improvement.

The university provides good exposure to technical courses, eventrs , clubs, and extracurricular activities.
The campus has good labs, a library, and facilities that support students academic development.

the CSE curriculum covers relevant subjects and provides a good foundation programming and computer science. It prepares students for futher studies and careers, through more industry-based projects and practical learning would be bemigficial. Exams include MSTs and ESTs, with a manageable difficulty level through regi;ar preparation.

Placement Experience:

The placemnets in the university starts from the 3 year only. companies comes in the 3rd year, students= can give interviews in this year, and they can get the NOC. wich means you can go for the job or the iinternship and there is no need to take the classes, because you are taking the indyustry level experience in the prior basis also.

Likes

campus life is absolutely banger and it is great to have friends here
crowd is bonkers , except some local peeps , they'd be behaving weird
major events like freshers and orientation , they bring crazzy artists

Dislikes

hectic schedules drain the soul of you .
frequent exams test that are totally unnecesary
attendance is another nuisance , having 75 percent is must

Placement Experience:

placements of 2.8 cr occured but it was only one , most of the placements packages go under 8 lpa and extra fees has to be paid in order to be eligible for placement drives and that too doen't ensure the placement

A TOUR TO CGC LANDRAN

Likes

Events are more frequent here and most of the stars from punjabi industry are called more often for film promotions
No ragging is there infact seniors are friendly and try to help juniors
TPP (training and placement program) is provided that help students to crack placements

Dislikes

Attendance criteria (minimum 75 % is essential to maintain to be eligible to give exams)
Class timings are fixed from 9:15 to 4:35 and you can not enter in between 10 to 12:00 PM as gates are closed for this duration
Strength is rapidly increasing as new courses are introduced which increases competition during placements

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent, from 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement students need to enroll in TPP(Training and placement program) in order to get eligible for campus placement, Many companies visit our campus for eg Capgemini, LNT, ZSCALER, EDIFECS, AMAZON, PWC, WATCHGUARD TECHNOLOGIES etc overall above 200 offerrs are made to our senior batch with the highest package of 32LPA and average package of around 4.5LPA. more than 60% of students get placed . I am also sitting for campus placement and wish to get placed soon

College Life is Fun, Various activities and events happen in and around college, you got to know about others and crowd is also decent, Mostly Students are from northern regions that is Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand .
Teachers are good and placement coordinators also help students to get good package on campus. a decent package can be bagged by a student if he/she seriously study and obtain a decent CGPA in exam. Make sure you clear all exams till 8th semester.
Infrastructure Is also good, laboratories are fitted with new desktops and campus size is also decent, Tuck shops and various Canteens are available inside the campus. Also Central Library is there inside the campus where students can study in exam t

Dislikes

The curriculum for 1st and 2nd semester is purely based on subjects that you studied in 11th and 12th, the advance versions of those topics are there in 1st and 2nd semester which make it difficult for students to get good grades.
The placement in other branches like Mechanical, electrical is mere, and one can face difficult in getting on campus placement if he/she belongs to these streams. Also Lack of practical knowledge is there in these streams, Theory is more focused.
If one opt for hostels, then the hostel facilities are not as good as it should be , the mess food is pathetic and one can face difficulty if he/she opt for hostel, also campartively hostel fees are also very high, whereas nearby Pg's are cheaper

Placement Experience:

placement is good in our college. Aveage package is 400000, and average package for cse stream is approx 500000. Various companies like alstom, infosys, accenture, TCS, Wipro, amazon, Walmart, JP Morgan chase and co. etc visit campus every year and recruit students. Approx 300+ companies visit campus and above 80% of cse students are placed but In other streams like ECE.EE and ME etc placements are campartively lower and students face difficulty in order to get placed. MY plan is job oriented i also want to get placed on campus and hope so i will get placed in a good company.
