I had not taken any entrance examination but I managed to enter with the help of merit marks secured in higher secondary.

Course Curriculum Overview

First year studies were encompassed of all the basic stuffs form all the departments say Mech, civil, Electrical and Electronics etc right from second year you would be cut up according to your streams there your Engineering life starts and form then onwards you will be shown to various advanced technologies in your stream along with various real world experiences.

Internships Opportunities

Ebay, Amazon, Visual bi, Mu-sigma, Lister, Zoho, Google interns, Microsoft intern come FTE, TCS, WIPRO, IBM, L&T for construction and IT as well, Hyundai, Ashok leyland, Caterpillar, Bosch, VM Ware, Freshdesk for development and marketing, Virtusa, Tech Mahindra, Towell Engineering and many other startups i got placed in a start up named Banerasoft Inc Private Ltd. Stipend starts from 2.00-15.00 LPA. Even we have certain private banks visited our campus.

Placement Experience

They opportunities of placements always knocks your door during the final year and pre-final year during pre-final year you will have opportunity to earn while you learn. E-bay, Amazon, Honey well will offer internships and if you do great, you will be placed for FTE.

KS- well known for Kuruk Sastra SASTRA- one of the main cultural events in our college. Daksh for Technical symposium, Carpedium, Colosseum. Listed above are the main thing. And every department has their own technical fest in which everybody can take part and transfer their knowledge and gain Knowledge as well.

It was feasible for our batch but I came to know that, fee structure has been re-structured i guess it will be still feasible Inside our campus, we have banks that can also help giving us Educational loan an other big help that SASTRA can do.

As far as i know there are good scholarships and loan facility given by sastra I hadn't have availed any of those all through tout my college life.

My personal opinion if you are a edtrovert then you will really relly llike studying at sastra if not it will take some time to get yourself changed there are so many teams like dance team, English lits, Tamil lits, Drama team, Studio team, Hospitality team etc etc which allows you to show who are you.

Seniors were quite good. They are very friendly with us and helped us while we crossed over the hardship called "PLACEMENTS". They help us by giving their text book, their notes and teach us by spending their valuable time in fact they will not maintain any partiality, instead they will be very very friendly.

Exam Structure

Out of 6 months per semester, we will have 3 internal exams out of 3, best 2 marks will be taken and added up to our externals so if you have good internals you will be the rock star or you will be the poor star.

It differs based on the department you go as far as i was concerned faculties were much better i was exposed to learn under faculty who were well experienced now they recruit people who have completed their PG. I think the standard is drastically increase

Here there is no gender separation like boys and girls should be seperate and stuff like that.
It is a autonomous college so courses are changing regularly with the shift in education
Here we have relative grading system therefore there is no ranking and easy to get good grades

Dislikes

We have to pay yearly fees not semester wise it difficult for low income earning families
Money is collected from students for all events happening in the college.
There is a rush for collection of fees at the start of each year and unpaid students might face absent issues

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are moderate but i don't know much about other courses but for civil engineering the average placed ctc is 3 lakh per annum one or two students got higer package but most of the students got lower package as a fresher.
