Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course because I found that this course has many opportunities also you can also get a good package of you to have decent skills. The ratio of faculty to students is around 36:1 . The teacher is not much qualified many of the teachers are pass-outs from this college. There are two minor exams and one final semester exam. If you have studied properly throughout the semester you can easily pass the exam with a good score.

Class Size: 72Course Fees: INR 160000 per year

Placement Experience

The placements here I quite high. companies start to come for you from the 6th semester. and the number of companies is quite high so here opportunities are quite good .companies like adobe and Microsoft Tcs came here for the placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee hike is very much. The fee for the batch 2020 per semester was 80000 and for next year's batch that is 2021 it was 90000 and for the 2022 batch, it is around 106000. Here fees increase every year but you can give cucet and get a good scholarship you also need to maintain a 7.5 cgpa to continue your scholarship if you are unable to then your scholarship will be removed.

Campus Life

The Campus life here is very good there are many that take place here at Chandigarh university. there is an annual fest which is very good you can enjoy it with your friends. Here many actors also come for the promotion of their movies so they organize events for that also. so overall is good.

Admission

Chandigarh University has there own exam that is cucet for admission. this exam is held for admission and if you score good marks you also get a scholarship according to your rank you get around the scholarship. You can get up to 50 percent scholarship. if do not need any scholarship you can just call to take admission .there is no limit on the number of seats. also, you can take admission at any time of the year

Interview Experience

The topics for GD depends on the time mainly get topics on general awareness to check how much you are aware of the world they sometimes give problem statement in gd. In technical interviews mainly they ask questions on your major subjects eg DSA, DBMS etc. I mainly go through my notes and content available on youtube. Nowadays there is much free content available on the internet from where you can easily get the idea about the question like for geeks etc.

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

The Scholarship benefit is good when compared to other universities the fee is also not very huge.The Infrastructure of the campus was vast and there arelots of stall to purchase food items etc
There is a big mall through which You can get necessary items .In every hostel you will have departmental stores
The faculty was highly qualified. The Placements opportunities are also good The average was offered was 5-6 LPA.The Lpu newly Launched Education Revolution is very good for students

Dislikes

The mandatory 75% attendance policy for every subject.If you not maintain you will debar from End term examinations which is not all good
The Roads are not that much good .The roads are made of parking tiles instead of Thar
The distance between hostels and main gates are nearly 1.5 -2 km which not at all good .but there e-rickshaw they charge 15 rupees per person to drop from hostel to main gate

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The sports and the various facilities that they provide for relaxing
The Library that remains open till 10-11 at night for those who wish to study till late

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum

Chandigarh University - My experience from fees to social life

I gave cucet but can't find the college that have cse in their colleges. That time my father was recently posted in chandigarh as chandigarh university was very close to me and the transport is also easy and I don't have to pay the hostel fees and I can be a day scholar also so I choosed this college as it provide a good network of peoples. The admission process was to simple ,I just applied for their entrance online exam cucet and booked a slot gave online test of 100 mcq from the selected domain and after that I got scholarship and to confirm my seat I have to pay 10000 part of my semester fees (that 10000 was from my semester fees) and after doing online formalities and upload document.
