Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course because it is also a B.Tech-like degree and the fees of college in much lower in comparison to other colleges that are in this rank list. Talking about the student ratio- there are very less girls students as compared to boys even in my class only four girls are there in 60-70 students. But faculty are well educated and mostly are Ph.D. completed or Ph.D. student. There are two midterm exams (MST) and one final exam in the semester and these are in moderate rank even if you can pass the exam By learning one night before the exam.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 220000 per year

Placement Experience

Mainly you can get a placement offer after the third year but if you can do something you can go for placement in the first year also. Many companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Infosys, Wipro, TCS, and many other visits campus placement every year. The highest package in 2022 made by the student is 1.7 Cr internationally which is approached by an American-origin company and another national package is 55.4 lakh and the average package offered in CU is 5-6 lakh. 80-90% of students are placed every year in campus placement. And my plan after getting the degree is to be placed in an international company.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for one semester for BE-CSE are 108000, 2000 refundable security, and 2000 exam fees and it is the same for the whole duration of the course, with no hike in this. But if you give a cucet exam which is organized by Chandigarh university online you can get a fee waiver.

Campus Life

There are many fests at Chandigarh university first one is the CU fest which is for 2-3 days and other concerts occur in every month 3-5 fest is compulsory in one year. CU is a good way to go for sports, there are separate grounds for every sport indoor and outdoor. In extracurricular, you can choose photography, modeling, culture, and many other things. I don't know about any social group as I am a first-year student.

Admission

There are no minimum eligibility criteria for admission to Chandigarh university even though there are many students which have less than 50% marks in their board exams. For admission to CU, you can search online and take admission and there are no reservations for anyone. I want to change the admission process because there are lots of students in the first year as it is a private university. No restrictions on admission.

Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

The Scholarship benefit is good when compared to other universities the fee is also not very huge.The Infrastructure of the campus was vast and there arelots of stall to purchase food items etc
There is a big mall through which You can get necessary items .In every hostel you will have departmental stores
The faculty was highly qualified. The Placements opportunities are also good The average was offered was 5-6 LPA.The Lpu newly Launched Education Revolution is very good for students

Dislikes

The mandatory 75% attendance policy for every subject.If you not maintain you will debar from End term examinations which is not all good
The Roads are not that much good .The roads are made of parking tiles instead of Thar
The distance between hostels and main gates are nearly 1.5 -2 km which not at all good .but there e-rickshaw they charge 15 rupees per person to drop from hostel to main gate

The course cirriculum changes every year by rapid changes happening due to AI The University has also launched a new school called School of AI and emerging technologies.from this every year syllabus changesand exams pattern changes .the difficulty of exams is increasing day by day.

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum

Chandigarh University - My experience from fees to social life

I gave cucet but can't find the college that have cse in their colleges. That time my father was recently posted in chandigarh as chandigarh university was very close to me and the transport is also easy and I don't have to pay the hostel fees and I can be a day scholar also so I choosed this college as it provide a good network of peoples. The admission process was to simple ,I just applied for their entrance online exam cucet and booked a slot gave online test of 100 mcq from the selected domain and after that I got scholarship and to confirm my seat I have to pay 10000 part of my semester fees (that 10000 was from my semester fees) and after doing online formalities and upload document.
