The motive behind the establishment of IGNOU is to impart high-level education to the deserving candidates from society. Its concept of teaching revolves around Open Distance Learning mode, also known as ODL, enabling the students to nurture
While a regular college is surely a great option for face-to-face education, IGNOU is also one such renowned college in India. The only difference is that IGNOU offers distance learning education under the recognition of UGC.

Dislikes

The university has a syllabus with a detailed explanation of topics. Each topic comprises several details that you need to go through and write in the assignments as well as in the examinations.
We can't deny that it is a little challenging to pass the IGNOU exam, but still, it is not an impossible thing. Since IGNOU does a strict evaluation, many students get this question, whether it is hard to get through this examination

My dream was taking admitted to in MBA marketing and an experience in digital marketing. so mba was supporting my career. that why I choose mba. recently tentative date sheet is announced tee June 2023. The faculty was really good and extremely qualified.

mba marketing overall fee is 62000 something and the 1-semester fee is 15500. including material provided by ignou by post. so if admission ignou, then ignou will be provided course study material.

Campus Life

I have recently admission from IGNOU so I don't have any idea about the fest or any activity of this type. this university provided distance learning so why they will not provide this type of activity for students.

just filled out the form and then admission. no entrance and MBA marketing 1semster is 15500. admission was online mode and they were provided study material by post. id card was provided online. if you wanted to online material you get it but now mba marketing ignou not provided this course in online material.

Infrastructure and classrooms for students.
Overall exposire given like rural imersion and outbound leadership programs for students.

The campus is a bit short and has limited premises
The senior junior relationship which can be stressful for introvert students
No bus facilities given for students travelling acress ncr region

Students are eligible for placements from the first year and there are companies that comes highest package is around 20+ Lpa and the minimum average is 11 lakhs for all the students after the degree.

Likes

The companies coming for internships are great
The experienced faculty who came from IIMs
The experienced clubs and their guidance

Dislikes

There is bit of mismanagement experienced,
There is last minute information available at the end moment
Disclarity in information throughout the whole semester

Placement Experience:

It is okay and it is based on luck of the student more than hardwork. You also have to network super well to get into good dream companies. It is a good place to get it out of luck through ATS sysytem.

In first trimister itself student become eligible for summer internships and then in next year that is fifth semester they become eligible for placement opportunities from the college itself and college try its best that everyobe get placed

One of the strongest aspects of the institute is the faculty and the academic environment. Frequently members are generally experienced and approachable.
The teaching methodology includes case studies, presentation, group, assignments, group, discussions, projects, and practical assignments.
Another positive aspect is the exposure to corporate and professional life.

Placement Experience:

Lbsim has a structured campus placement process with participation from companies across sectors, such as consulting FMCG, IT/ITES , BFSI, marketing and operations. The institute provides students with placement preparation through aptitude test, mock interview interviews, group discussion, resume, building and corporate interaction.

course curriculum is relevant and mostly what the market wants in future and whats coming ahead for us. Python is taught as its going to be huge ahead and other things are also added. There is not much gap between mid term and end term as trimester are short.

We have well maintained library with more than 40000 books and documents, there are study cabins and all facilities required to have a productive day
There ample opportunites provided to students to amp up their game. The clubs and societies themselves take initiative to provide certifications to students, more than case comps are floated and students are encouraged to take part in them
The level of discipline and commitment expected of us is very similar to the other top MBA colleges, multiple assignments, deadlines, case submissions etc. The curriculum also requires students to make use of resources like Bloomberg and prowess.

Dislikes

The quality of cohort can be better. The quality is deteriorating from the senior batch to the juniors
Not being a residential insititute is a big challenge, as the load of work is the same as any residential insitute but most students also have additional buden of travelling which becomes very taxing in the long run.
There is some level of politics that goes on in student societies which can become toxic sometimes.

Placement Experience:

The college actively provides placement support, students are eligible for placements from the first trimester itself. Last year more than 150 companies took part in the placement process. The highest offer made was 24 LPA and the average was 12.32 LPA. 99% of the 2026-2028 batch got placed by April 2026.

Ignou: Flexibility And Disappointment

I had also applied in DU for B.Sc. (Hons) Statistics but the cutoffs were very high and only a few top colleges offered that course. DU SOL also did not provide B.Sc. courses at that time, so I finally chose IGNOU. The admission process is fully online through the IGNOU website. You need to sign in, upload your Class 10 and 12 marksheets, Aadhaar or other supporting documents, fill personal details, and pay the course fee. For most courses you just need to pass Class 12, but for some courses there is a percentage requirement or specific subjects needed to study in class 12 like in my case maths.
