Course Curriculum Overview
Computer and technology always fascinated me that's why I opted for CSE. The faculty is good and cooperative not unlike the IIT ones who just come give lectures and go. Faculty here try to make students understand topics. Most faculty are post-graduated and doing a PhD. The term exams were in every one and a half months there are 2 term exams in a semester which I say are of mid-difficulty.
Placement Experience
From 3rd year onward there are placement drives for students. Top companies that have visited Chandigarh University for recruitment in the past include TCS, Amazon, Wipro, Infosys, Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, IBM, HCL, Capgemini, and Accenture, among others. The highest package was around 64 lakhs and the average package is 8 lakhs per annum. Around 90 percent students get placed. My plan is also getting in to a good company with a good salary.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee hike is every year for the new students like it my fee is 1 lac this year then the student applying for admission next year will have to pay around 1 lac 5 thousand and this goes on every year. For BE CSE my fee is 106000 for one semester. The scholarship name is CUCET and also students can get scholarships on the basis of 12th percentage and sports scholarships. There is a placement cell for on-campus placements in my course job offered by companies that are mostly technical with an average stipend of 7 to 8 lac per year.
Campus Life
The name of the fest is CU fest organised at a large scale in March or April. Tech fest is also there. Almost every book and journal are available in Library. Every academic block has its own Library. The university does a great job in the field of sports and extracurricular activities there are seminars from time to time. CU Astronomy club is run by students.
Hostel Facilities
Lan ports, bed, table, almirah and ducts for summer. Meal quality is average but better than most colleges. The menu is variable and changes every week. One can register for a hostel on cuims website when while getting admission. The fee for a 5 seater room is 89000.
Admission
The eligibility criteria are that one should have passed their 10th and 12th standard. The application form can be found on cuchd website application fee is RS 500 applications are open the whole year. No reservation benefits. for improvement, I would suggest changing the eligibility criteria to a minimum of 75 per cent marks in 10th and 12th.
