The course curriculum is very well maintained from the first semester to the last .The whole syllabus is well defined. For every needed subject of practicals there is well maintained Laboratories. Each floor of department has 2-3 computer labs in which Software likes AutoCad, Solidworks, C++ Turbo and Matlab are installed

Sex ratio is not much bad not much good it is normal. You will find a neat and green campus. One can simply fall in love with the campus life

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel life is the best part of the college life. Here you learn how to live without family and how one has to manage so many things on his/her own.Chandigarh University has 15-20 Buildings of hostels and has a capacity of more than 10000 students and each hostel has a facility of Wifi, GYm, Mess, Stationary Shops and study room and so on

The exam structure is very good and it is attractive to students as grading system is followed by the university. The university divided the system of exam in two parts that is Internal and External where internal carries 40 marks and external carries 60 marks .A student need to fech atleast 30% of the marks to the highest scored to pass an examination

Placement Experience:

Students generally become eligible for placement from 7th semester, with numerous major companies like wipro, cognizant and various tech startups visit the campus with various offers. The university sees a high percentage of students getting placed. The package are widely depending on various skill and codes. Furthermore while the highest package looks impressive on paper, the avg package remains modest for the majority of the batch. My personal plans after getting the degree focus on exploring independent entrepreneurial ventures rather than tradition corporate placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
