Course Curriculum Overview

I wanted to pursue a commerce career that's why I choose this career. The faculty members of the college are well-educated, and some of them are pioneers in the field of commerce, such as BB DAM and R.K. Pathak. The three-year degree course is divided into 6semesters and one final and term examination in each semester. the exams are easy to pass.

Class Size: 660Course Fees: INR 15000 per year

Placement Experience

Students are eligible for placement after B.com 6th semester. Many companies visited our college during the time of campus placement. many companies like ICICI bank, HDFC bank, and Mahindra & Mahindra came during placement times.

Fees and Financial Aid

The cost of the course is approx. 8000rs per year and around 2000rs extra for exam fees and others fees. Students having an income certificate of below 2lakh can apply for an NPS scholarship. The cost of the course is stable.

Campus Life

The Classrooms are spacious and well-equipped with fans, lights, and ACs. And have gym and sports facilities in the college. The college conducts several events throughout the year, including the annual fest, freshers' party, Saraswati puja, and college elections. In addition to sports events and social groups, students run many charity groups for the underprivileged, including street dogs and poor people.

Hostel Facilities

The college currently only offers a boys' hostel facility and the girl's hostel is still under construction. The boy's hostel is located near the college and has a very clean environment in it. the infrastructure of the hostel is quite impressive and it has a strict warden.

The Gauhati Commerce College Admission process typically begins in July, after the 12th standard results are declared for B.com. The application process is online, and students must fill out an application form available on the college's website and submit it along with the required documents and photographs. Gauhati University: A Students perspective.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This is an integrated course where i will be getting a masters degree after completing 5 years. Only tezpur university provides this course other than GU. The curriculum prepares students mainly to pursue careers in academic fields and research fields. More practical aspects can be added to provide a holistic knowledge to the students. The exams are very well planed.

I applied to a lot of other colleges but those were all backup for me if I didn't get admission here . I applied in dispur college , kc das commerce college , guwahati college etc . We are admitted to colleges here using the samarth website. There are two merit lists provided by each college in the samarth website. I wasn't selected in the 1st merit list in gcc which ofcourse scared me a bit , but I got my names in the other previously mentioned colleges but I wanted to wait for the second merit list for which I had to hear a lot like what if I didn't even get my name on the second list of gcc . But I was sure I would get because my percentage was just 0.4% short from the cut off of the last merit list . I wanted this college because of emotional attachments + gcc has one of the best merits among all the commerce colleges in the entire northeast . Even this year in the toppers list published by gauhati university, 9 out of 10 students were from Gcc itself...Read More

I've applied to many other colleges in Guwahati city like KC DAS commerce College , Dispur College, but I have choosed this college at last, because this college is also known as the best college in the entire Northeast, so I have chooses this college.
