Remarks

I hoped for better discipline within students. Management/ faculty could have been more strict. They gave students all the freedom but somewhere few checks could have proved better.

Entrance Preview

I scored. 67% overall. in year 1997 there was no entrance exam for B Tech course in Maharashtra. I scored 72% in my diploma and based on that got admission. Not sure about now but in year 1997-2000 faculty was very good. I think most of them are retired now. Overall good facility & good faculty.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Curriculum was very open, our faculty encouraged us to explore many things outside the syllabus. We did many projects, overall it was enriching experience. Our laboratory was sufficiently huge. College had a huge workshop and good library.

Internships Opportunities

Yes company provided internship and many companies were there,Kirlosker Sidco AAI, etc The maximum stipend I remember was Rs.5,000 at that time in 2000.

Placement Experience

2.5

The placement from college was not that strong. The region has little or no industry, may be that was one of the reasons. Very few companies came for interview, I don't remember the names not it's been 15 years. Apart from that we got good job offers outside of the college.

College Events

4.5

There were lots of events. seminars games (college level and inter college level) fashion shows, etc Ganpati festival may day Independence day republic day industrial visits to various companies The events were grand, nearly 400 to 450 students used to participate.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure was feasible, no extra costs. In those days year 2000 annual fee was only Rs16,000 annually. Hostel and mess charges were extra. The fee structure was properly explained was provided on paper at the time of admission. Exam and event charges were extra.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, I do not recall about any scholarship. Loan facility also not aware. I passed out in year 2002 so it's difficult to recall about scholarship & loan now.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life was awesome. We had huge space at our disposal for playing. A huge garden and lawn where we can just wander of sit in groups to chat and study. There were yearly science seminars, debates, projects, etc. There were students from all over the country. We had inter and intra college competitions, sports events and these were on big scale. Nearly 20 to 25 colleges used to participate.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostel was new and condition was good. Hot water facility, 24 hour running water, purified water facility, water cooler. Hostel was situated in the city so market & places of entertainment were nearby. It was not noisy at all, students get the peaceful environment for study.

Alumni/Alumna

Sorry, I am not the part of network so there is not much to tell. But college has yearly alumni meet. I heard many alumni present during each such event. I don't have first hand personal experience though.

Exam Structure

Exams were once in a month and very exhaustive. Apart from this there were lots of lab practicals and projects assignments. Overall it was all exhaustive but enjoyable. Then we had 6 monthly assessment written and practical exam. Also one yearly written & practical exam. Yearly project & seminar on different topics.

Admission

I first completed diploma in chemical engineering. Based on diploma I applied for admission in degree course through centralized admission process by DTE (directorate of Technical Education). DTE published state wise merit list of all candidates. DTE called all candidates to Mumbai for college allotment and final admission. A college was allotted to me, i had to go that college and submit fee and documents to confirm admission.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty was excellent and dedicated. Periods were held on time, they gave us ample teaching. Syllabus was completed in time and we had much time to prepare for exams. There were lots of practical projects and we got valuable guidance from faculty. There were lots of outdoor projects for which we traveled to many places in search of data and information.

Placement Experience:

Placements at ADYPU are moderate and structred . Students usually become eligilble from the final year for campus drives. Various startups and mid level comapnies visit for roles in sales, marketing, operatioons and tech support . The highest pacakage generally ranges arounf 45-50LPA , while the average package is around 4.5-6 LPA , depending on the profile . A fair percentage of active students secure placements. After completing my degree, i plan to focus on skill development and pursue better career op;portunities.

Placement Experience:

placements in GHRCE are pretty good for CS/IT branches. Students become eligible from 7th semester, but companies starts giving training sessions from 6th sem itself. Many known companies visits like Tcs, Wipro, Capgemini, cognizant, Infosis etc The highest package goes around 20-22 LPA while the average package is around 5-6 LPA. Almost 70-80% students from CS/IT get placed. My plans after getting the degree is to get a stable job and then do masters.

Government College of Engineering, Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Artificial Intelligence & Data Science)
Reviewed on Mar 2, 2025(Enrolled 2022)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course out of sheer curiosity and intrest in the field of Artificial Intelligence . The course offered by the college encapsulates all the major subtopics included in the field. Theoretically the curriculum offers great knowledge about various topics from your course however you yourself have to figure out how do you build your practical skills which you can use in the real world. teaching methods can be improvised by implementing a more practical learning based approach rather than relying on the theoretical part of the subject. there are 2exams per semester, one small exam called as mid semester exams and the other one is the major exam called as final semester exam. difficulty of exam is usually easy to moderate and one can easily pass the exam even if he/she does not study regularly.
