Likes

The nature of faculty member all are supportive and here you actually see what mentorship is?
The ambiance of institute and their design where each one learn practical lessons form the entrance of institute
There are enough material or equipment and machinery provided by government which are very helpful

Dislikes

The attendance method if you are not regular then you can't take exams
This is not conducted the NCC camp which I wanted to go.
For the placement you have to sure what you want from them if they like they will hire you

Course Curriculum Overview

The current time there are limited but more competitive exams are there at the entrance time like MBBS and IITs but after their graduation, many might also apply for MBA or any professional post-graduation. Faculty: student ratio is 1: 100. All the faculty are either PhD holders or any professional from a particular stream There are semester wise exam that is conducted every six-month interval

Internships Opportunities

There are many internships available here and the institute also helps the students with the same, I also completed my Internship with Reliance, Dependo Logistics, LIC etc. After the completion of the internship you have to make a project report for both company and the institution as well, they will definitely work on it on your suggestions

From the last semester or in between the internship, students are eligible for campus placements. many luxury brands like LV, Skechers, bata, shopper stop, reliance, Arvind group, future group The average package is about 550000 INR per annum This institute claims a 100 % placement guarantee for their students I would like to invest in a handicraft manufacturing plant with export-oriented

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is according to UGC guidelines and it is Institute of National Importance under the FDDI Act 2017 under the commerce ministry so there are similar to other central professional institutes. There are many government scholarships available for students. You can also take a loan from the bank for this course

Many festivals are celebrated on an interval basis as sports meets and annual festivals are also celebrated. There is a huge library where you can find your course book and other journals as well. Classrooms are equipped with Wi-Fi, ACs, and a projector. There are many groups like cultural groups, sports groups, environment groups and so on

Admission

It requires a minimum 12th passes after that there will be an entrance online exam conducted by the Institute itself, you can find it on its official website (FDDIINDIA.COM) after the exam the conference is conducted and seats are allocated according to merit base. You can also take reservation benefits and scholarships provided by my government schemes

Likes

The college gives good exposure to design through practical assignments, creative activities, workshops and projects. It encourages students to think differently and develop their own ideas.
The faculty members are approachable and provide guidance during design projects. The studio-based learning and regular feedback help in improving creative and presentation skills.
like the opportunities to participate in college events, photography, exhibitions and other activities. The interaction with seniors, alumni and other design students also adds to the overall college experience.

Dislikes

The workload can sometimes be quite high, especially when multiple design assignments and submissions have close deadlines.
Some activities and projects can require additional materials and expenses, which can increase the overall cost of studying design.
The college can further improve its facilities, resources and infrastructure to make studio work and practical learning more convenient for students.

Placement Experience:

I am currently in the Foundation year, so I have not experienced the college placement process yet. I do not have first-hand information about the semester from which students become eligible, companies visiting the campus, number of offers, salary packages or placement percentages. My current focus is on developing a strong foundation in design and building my skills through practical assignments and projects. After completing my Interior Designing course, I plan to work in the interior-design field and gain practical industry experience. I would also like to explore different areas of interior design before deciding on a specific career path. I will be able to give a more accurate review of placements after experiencing the process in the later years of the course.

A balanced academic experience at Poddar college

Likes

Teachers are very nice and supportive . They helped me so much.
Infrastructure is very elegant and properly maintained.
There is well equipped computers lab and air conditioned classrooms.

Placement Experience:

The average package is modest and placements mainly depend on students skill and performance. Many student prefer higher studies ,internship or off campus job opportunities after completing the course.

Likes

The college campus is really neat and clean.
A lot of social activities are done which are really good for the personal growth of the students.
The curriculum is wholly practical based which gives the best knowledge.

Dislikes

If you get selected by one company in placements you are not allowed to sit for another brand.
There are a lot of assignments which helps but also feels hectic for the students.
There is no air conditioners, common room and microwave in boys hostels yet. They are provided with coolers instead.

superb college

Good thing about the college is managemnet, they are very friendly,social atmosphere is great here, big and large campus , beautiful buildings and greenery all around , availability of machines etc , bad thing is fee structure , which is quite high and methodology of teaching , that is too old , there are no projector classes or video lectures , nor the seminars too , we got only one or two seminars till now , thats really bad about this college...Read More
