Course Curriculum Overview
I am currently in the Foundation year of Interior Designing, so the curriculum is mainly focused on building a strong base in design. I like that it includes design fundamentals, drawing, creativity, materials, practical assignments, studio work and presentations. These subjects are helping me understand the basics that will be useful for further interior-design studies and real-world projects. The course is practical and encourages us to explore our own ideas. I feel that more industry exposure, site visits and practical demonstrations could make the learning experience even better. Since I have not appeared for any exams yet, I cannot comment on their frequency, difficulty or marking system. Overall, I find the Foundation curriculum relevant and useful for developing basic design skills.
Internships Opportunities
Yes, I had an interview as part of the admission process. The interview mainly focused on my interest in design, my background, why I wanted to pursue Interior Designing, and my creative interests. I was also given a design-related task during the admission process. The interaction was more about understanding my creativity, observation and interest in design rather than a difficult written test. I prepared by learning about the course, understanding basic design concepts and being ready to explain why I wanted to study Interior Designing. The interview was comfortable overall, although I was asked about some design-related terms that I was not familiar with at the time. It helped me understand that having basic knowledge of design vocabulary is useful for the course.
Placement Experience
I am currently in the Foundation year, so I have not experienced the college placement process yet. I do not have first-hand information about the semester from which students become eligible, companies visiting the campus, number of offers, salary packages or placement percentages. My current focus is on developing a strong foundation in design and building my skills through practical assignments and projects. After completing my Interior Designing course, I plan to work in the interior-design field and gain practical industry experience. I would also like to explore different areas of interior design before deciding on a specific career path. I will be able to give a more accurate review of placements after experiencing the process in the later years of the course.
Fees and Financial Aid
I am pursuing Interior Designing at Arch College of Design and Business, Jaipur. My yearly course fee is approximately ₹150000 per year, including the applicable tuition and other compulsory charges. The total fee for the complete course is approximately ₹200000. The fee structure includes tuition fees, registration/admission charges, development/lab or studio-related charges and other applicable college fees. As far as I know, the fee is [increasing/not increasing] each year. I have received scholarship/financial aid at present. I am also not aware of the exact fee structure for students belonging to other categories such as SC/ST/management. Students should check the latest official fee structure with the college for category-wise fees and available merit-cum-need scholarships or financial assistance.
Campus Life
My campus experience so far has been positive and focused mainly on design activities and interaction with classmates. The college provides opportunities to participate in cultural events, photography activities, workshops and other extracurricular activities. These activities make campus life more engaging and give students a chance to explore interests beyond academics. The classrooms and studio spaces are suitable for practical design work and assignments. The library and other learning resources are useful for students, although having more design-related books, journals and updated resources would be helpful. Since I am currently in the Foundation year, I have not experienced all the college clubs, festivals and activities yet. Overall, I like the creative environment and the interaction with fellow design students.
Admission
I chose Arch College of Design and Business because I was looking for a college with a strong focus on design, creativity and practical learning. The Foundation year gives me an opportunity to explore different areas of design before going deeper into Interior Designing. I liked the practical assignments, studio work, workshops and the creative environment. The admission process was straightforward and included interaction with the college and an admission interview. I was also given a design-related task during the admission process, which helped me understand the kind of creative thinking expected from students. Since I am currently in Foundation, I cannot comment on the complete course or compare it in detail with other colleges. Overall, I chose Arch because its learning approach and design-focused environment matched what I was looking for.
Faculty
I am currently studying in the Foundation year of the Interior Designing course, so I have not appeared for any exams yet. The faculty members are approachable and supportive, especially during practical work, assignments and studio activities. They provide feedback and guide students when we face difficulties with our work. The Foundation course focuses more on building basic design skills through practical assignments, drawing, design fundamentals, materials, creativity and presentations. The course structure is useful for developing a strong base before moving into advanced interior-design subjects. Since I have not appeared for exams yet, I cannot comment on the difficulty level, marking scheme, pass percentage or number of students who fail. My experience so far has mainly been based on studio work, assignments, presentations and continuous faculty feedback.

Night Life
As I am currently in the Foundation year, I have not experienced much of the nightlife around the college yet. The campus is mainly focused on academics, studio work and college activities rather than late-night events. Students generally unwind after classes by spending time with friends, visiting cafés or exploring nearby places during the evening. The college and hostel have their own timings, so late-night activities are limited. I have not personally explored many places around the college at night, so I cannot comment on specific closing times or safety conditions. Overall, the social environment is more about spending time with classmates, attending college events and exploring Jaipur during suitable hours rather than nightlife on campus.
