SASTRA, B.Tech, Computer Science
Reviewed on Oct 1, 2017

Remarks

Everything is simply very good. suggestion would be that they can make there exam pattern and exam evaluation better

Entrance Preview

I have scored 180 in jee mains , with the score I've got in this entrance exam i would have got into good nit's but i am passionate about computer science and sastra provides right education in computer science and engineering

Internships Opportunities

Yes they do provide internships the general striped will be in the range of 20k to 60k ! average will be around 30k .I had a good experience people in training and placements help us a lot in getting the opportunity . i had a wonderful experience overall

Placement Experience

5

yea placement and job oppertunities are pretty good for the CSE grads Paypal - 21lpa 4 people symantec- 10lpa 4 people abco- 10 lpa 2 people cypress - 13lpa 6 people mu sigma - 21 lpa (over 3 jumps) 51 people zoho - 6.5 lpa 18 people informatica - 10lpa 10 people ezee - 8lpa 3 people microsoft - 10lpa 5 people

College Events

5

we have 5 fests celebrated where daksh is the tech fest celebrated in college and we have kuruksastra it is the cultural fest and budget for these fest goes till a 10 crore fests are pretty popular and we have Colosseum it is the inter college sports fest and we have lots of fun during these fests

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is feasible per semester - 45,000 total semesters 8 = 45,000*8 = 3,60,000 and we will have mess fee of nearly 3k every month so totally 1,20,000 including mess and lodging for 4 years total - 3,60,000+1,20,000 ~ 5 lakhs so it is kind of feasible compared to any other universities across the globe and cost of living is also not that expensive so yeah its good

Fees and Financial Aid

yeah Many scholarships will be provided if u have good hostel attendance and 7.5 cgpa you will be given hostel scholarship and full hostel fee will be reimbursed. and deans merit scholarship 50% of tuition will be reimbursed and loans will be provided by city union bank and can be availed easily

Campus Life

5

gender ration will be 1:1 . campus life is pretty cool . you will have lots and lots of clubs to join in there are many extra curricular activities that you can engage in.Joining them and you get to have lots and lots of exposure. there are technical clubs like coding club, robotics club and stuff its fun honestly to participate in these activities

Hostel Facilities

5

Hostel facilities are pretty good but not luxurious. 1st years will be staying in SPS hostel where room is compulsory is to shared between 4 people . It is rule that people should stay in 4 in one rooms roll call is at 8:30 pm. when u cross first year. u have numerous hostel options like single room, double room . 3 in 1 , 4 in 1 and 6 in 1 . u will have playground facility in the hostel and badminton courts and tennis courts and stuff

Alumni/Alumna

there are many notable alumni of sastra . Sports keeda ceo . zoho , fresh desk ceo and many other there is a tremendous help being provided to juniors by the seniors and there are always there to help you once a sastrite always a sastrite

Exam Structure

Yeah we continuous assessment ! so we will be having 3 internal exams out of which 2 best exams will be taken into consideration ! and we have 4 periods of labs every credit . lab takes 2 credit. the facility of the lab is pretty good so some days it will be hectic and someday's chilled out . totally depends on your time table

Faculty

5

There is a rule in our university that faculty must publish minimum of 3 research papers in their tenure. Most of the faculty are phd Holders and most of them have enrolled in phd . So they have a greater insight over the subject so i would rate the faculty on 4 out of 5 . so they give us greater insights over the concepts
