Likes

Course is in MoU with DRDO and ISRO, which makes great opportunities for us.
Beautiful green environment which will make sure your gallery is full of sky pics.
Supportive and encouraging faculty team.

Dislikes

Shuttle buses are never on time and there is a lot of rush in buses since they are not frequent.
Most of the things like hostel and other course building are still under construction, which results in dust.
You cant expect social life here. There is just one annual fest here.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is designed very carefully and in par with the latest curriculum. Every faculty is qualified from distinguished institutes. Most of them are from smdvu. We have two mid terms and one end-semester exam for each semester. The best part of the course is that computer science is in MoU with DRDO while electronics is in MoU with ISRO, which brings out very beneficial oppurtunities for us.

Class Size: 53Course Fees: INR 80000 per year

Internships Opportunities

The university provides great internship opportunities. The avionics branch got to get a certificate credit course from IIST Thiruvananthapuram and later will get to intern with ISRO. The CSE branch will hopefully get to work with Drdo.

Fees and Financial Aid

The course fee and all the other details regarding fees are available on the institute's website. The fees for 1st year is 80k. There is no scholarship assistance by the university, you have to find yourself one on your own. I found a scholarship in my 1st year which helped me, but i heard there is a work-while-you-study program.

Campus Life

There is just one annual fest here. The uni is low in extracurricular activities. We almost never find the books we need in the library also because it is the first year of introducing the course, but they are providing whatever we ask. The classroom is equipped with the latest amenities. There are many clubs but just for namesake, I have never seen them actually active. There is no ground for sports in campus.

Admission

Admission for btech degree is only through jee mains score. Admission is done through online counseling of josaa and csab in CUJ. Eligibilty for the course is that you need a decent score in jee mains. The cutoff for reservation categories is relatively lower than general. Dont worry, just go through the process and if you a decent score, you will get the admission in CUJ.

My opinion about nit

Likes

I like the diversity and culture of college students come from all states each festival is celebrated with fun .
The infrastructure is good providing facilities like library, amphitheatre, auditorium etc.
I like college ground where we can walk and relieve from academics

Dislikes

College infrastructure can be improved in rainy season there is water accumulation at many places , water drainage system should be there .

Placement Experience:

In 7th semester student become eligible for placement. The companies visited are L &T for civil which is big company and select many students, jsw for mechanical and increff , paypal , microsoft, visa ,make my trip for IT and CSE

Likes

One thing I liked about my college is Huge campus area.
Other thing l liked about my college is good infrastructure

The thing I disliked about my college is delay in your any complain

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements in 8th semester. Companies like L&T construction, Ambuja cement, tata , wipro, jio , Berger, infosys, IBM and many more visit the college. Highest package is around 17 LPA and average package is around 5 LPA . Almost 30 percent students get placement. My plan is to get off campus placement.

Likes

College's weather is too pleasant and the air quality is also good
The environment is also very good and also the view is very nice
Seniors are very friendly in college and also the college has strict punishment for ragging.

Dislikes

The hostel food is not upto the level that a student expect.
The facility sometimes does not able to connect with Students
Hostels are very far away from the department and students have to move very far from the hostel

Placement Experience:

The placement of our college is Average and the students are eligible in 7 semester for placement. If the student has any backlog in any of the semester they can't sit in the college placement and also it has minimum criteria of 6.5 cgpa. The percentage of students getting placement is very low sadly

A comprehensive Review

Likes

Firstally i like in my college is hostel it is located in college campus .
The second thing like in my college is campus area located in between mountain.
the last thing is about one teacher he help me in everything.

Dislikes

The first thing i do not like is transport in my college it is the major problem in my college.
The second thing is there are no proper lectures everyday one of them faculty is absent
The last thing is not a proper medical facielities

Placement Experience:

The placement at my college are fairly strong, with a focus on proving opportunities for student in both technical field and non-technical fields. various reputed companies visit our campus for placement like TCS, infosys, and many more.The highest package aroun INR 40 LPA. the majority of the offers are for cybersecurity. My plan is for business after the degree.

The faculties are top notch and very supportive and helpful
Campus life is good because it is very large campus area
We have isro and drdo in our campus which is a very good thing

The eligibility of the course is that you have to crack JEE-mains exam and with counselling you can get admission to this college. For the residentials of Jammu the lateral entries are made available with certain criteria. The application form and every small details can be taken from the official website of cuj. This website is provided with some contact number to whom you can contact for further details. Here there is no reservation benefits as the admission is done on the basis of common rank list(crl). The exam level are from moderate to difficult. Where the question from basic are asked to make base strong whereas critical thinking questions are also involved.
