Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum at Salesian College needs a lot of changes and upgrades. In BCA, we see 2G being discussed whereas we are working in 4g and 5g. The faculty: student ratio in BCA for 3 years is 15:1. The teachers in BCA are highly qualified and experienced. They have industry experience and have worked in IT Sector as well. In science, three major exams are conducted every Semester - Mid Semester, Internal Exams, and End Semester. Also, there are Class tests being organized throughout the year by the faculties.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure in Salesian College, Siliguri is quite affordable. The BCA fees is 2,40,000/- for three years, including all the costs. As of scholarship, there is no scholarship provided in the college. Only there are fees waived for Christian students.

Campus Life

The campus life of Salesian College, Siliguri is very amazing. Throughout the year a lot of events take place. We have the North Bengal's Largest Cultual fest - Innovision being organized every year. Also, there are two tech fest - TechnoKrat and eComPhyMathix. There is a big library in our school, which has access to all the books. The classroom is equipped with an average system which needs an upgrade. Some of the social groups run by the students are - Entrepreneurship Development Cell, Enactus, NSS, NCC, and Techne Association.

Admission

The admission process at Salesian College is quite simple and easy. Fill out a form on the college website for the course which costs around 500/-. After which the college will contact you for the interview and admission exam. The interview is conducted by the Vice Principal and Dean. After the interview, you need to submit the documents. Post which the final merit list will be out.

Placement Experience:

The placements are really nice. Every year, a large amount of students are employed by Tech Mahindra, CTS, TCS, Wipro, etc. all software giants. The starting salaries are also decent. Most students get placed, but 100% placement has also been achieved by the college now.

Good College

Placement Experience:

Placement eligibility usually starts in the final year, but there are limited opportunities. Some IT and outsourcing companies visit, but they offer low salary packages. The average package offered is not very high about 3-4 LPA and only a small percentage of students get placed. Many students prefer to pursue an MCA or learn additional skills like web development, data science or cyber security to improve their job prospects. After completing my BCA, I plan to gain experience in IT related jobs improve my technical skills and possibly pursue higher studies like MCA. I might also explore freelancing or certification to increase job opportunities. Since I already have customer service and telecalling experience, I may also consider IT support roles before moving into core technical jobs. Building skills and networking will be important for getting a good job after graduation.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for internhips from 4th sem onwards, provided they have no backlogs and are well equipped for skills demanded by companies. The college provides good internships and job placements in reputable companies such as TCS, Wipro, Amazon etc,.[for computer science departement] with an average package of 3.5 LPA. A brief description about salesian

I had chosen this college as even my brother studied in this college and all the time I used to hear good things about the college and once I went to the college I was so amazed to see such beautiful campus. The infrastructure is sooo good there are proper facilities provided which is required for the students and even the facilities are the best one who provides the proper guidance so I had no 2nd thought about joining this college. and due to which I even didn't applied in any other colleges because I wanted to get admission in salesian college.
