What Students Say

Likes

Campus was good with sports complex different amenities along with library for studies as well with different shops for eat and multiple big parks for relaxation

Dislikes

Little bit of distance would have been covered with help if building were a little close for some department.

Course Curriculum Overview

I wanted to pursue my future in data science and moreover in the Computer field due to which I chose the course. The student-to-faculty ratio is good and the faculty does help students in understanding concepts and helps out in various areas. There were 2 MSTs and the final exam along with practical and we're fairly enough for someone to pass.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 80000 per year

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Nine leaps Amazon Walmart Zscaler Scaler SanDisk. The project was made in different tech stacks such as machine learning Python SQL and many more. Also, there were many different companies that offered jobs as FT and some with internships as the first part and then Full-time jobs with shadow projects to work.

Placement Experience

3.5

Google Amazon, Accenture Zscaler, Nine Leaps Toshiba SanDisk, and many more tip companies visit the campus placement drives. The package depends on the company as Amazon gave 80k per month only in an internship which does speak volumes for the college.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee hike goes according to the rules which we generally don't have any idea of but it does go according to the rules set by the education government. They provide multiple opportunities for internships by bringing top recruiters to campus. I was able to get a job in a tech company with a fair good amount of stipend.

Campus Life

The campus life is the one to live for with annual fest, fresher, live events, and Bollywood movie promotion events which makes it a lively area to go for and hang out the stress out of life and enjoy.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

There are around different hostels with different amenities with fans personal almirah personal study tables and 4-time meal with shops inside the hostel for having different foods if with departmental stores for all your daily needs. If want to avail hostel should pay the fees along with the registration and then you'll get allotted accordingly the room availability.

Hostel Fee: INR 86000 per year

Admission

I was not required to give any entrance exam as I was admitted through my marks in JEE and Boards. And even someone willing to take admission through an entrance test can find the same on the university website which would show the date of the exam and everything. If a reservation there will be a scholarship based on the eligibility criteria and that would be beneficial for the one who applies

The university provides good exposure to technical courses, eventrs , clubs, and extracurricular activities.
The campus has good labs, a library, and facilities that support students academic development.

Dislikes

The fees are high and losing a scholarship due to cgpa requirements can create a significant financial burden.
More personalized mentorship and regular career guidance sessions would help student prepare for their future carees.
more internship opportunities would further improve students professional growth.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the CSE curriculum covers relevant subjects and provides a good foundation programming and computer science. It prepares students for futher studies and careers, through more industry-based projects and practical learning would be bemigficial. Exams include MSTs and ESTs, with a manageable difficulty level through regi;ar preparation.

teachers are so experienced and they are so supportive in here.
the placements in this university are great, all the big tech companies do visit while placements and provide jobs to the deserved students.

All the online courses should be reduced.
nothing is there in the university that is to dislike.
majority of the things are all good in our university.

Placement Experience:

The placemnets in the university starts from the 3 year only. companies comes in the 3rd year, students= can give interviews in this year, and they can get the NOC. wich means you can go for the job or the iinternship and there is no need to take the classes, because you are taking the indyustry level experience in the prior basis also.

Likes

campus life is absolutely banger and it is great to have friends here
crowd is bonkers , except some local peeps , they'd be behaving weird
major events like freshers and orientation , they bring crazzy artists

Dislikes

hectic schedules drain the soul of you .
frequent exams test that are totally unnecesary
attendance is another nuisance , having 75 percent is must

Placement Experience:

placements of 2.8 cr occured but it was only one , most of the placements packages go under 8 lpa and extra fees has to be paid in order to be eligible for placement drives and that too doen't ensure the placement

A TOUR TO CGC LANDRAN

Likes

Events are more frequent here and most of the stars from punjabi industry are called more often for film promotions
No ragging is there infact seniors are friendly and try to help juniors
TPP (training and placement program) is provided that help students to crack placements

Dislikes

Attendance criteria (minimum 75 % is essential to maintain to be eligible to give exams)
Class timings are fixed from 9:15 to 4:35 and you can not enter in between 10 to 12:00 PM as gates are closed for this duration
Strength is rapidly increasing as new courses are introduced which increases competition during placements

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent, from 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement students need to enroll in TPP(Training and placement program) in order to get eligible for campus placement, Many companies visit our campus for eg Capgemini, LNT, ZSCALER, EDIFECS, AMAZON, PWC, WATCHGUARD TECHNOLOGIES etc overall above 200 offerrs are made to our senior batch with the highest package of 32LPA and average package of around 4.5LPA. more than 60% of students get placed . I am also sitting for campus placement and wish to get placed soon

College Life is Fun, Various activities and events happen in and around college, you got to know about others and crowd is also decent, Mostly Students are from northern regions that is Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand .
Teachers are good and placement coordinators also help students to get good package on campus. a decent package can be bagged by a student if he/she seriously study and obtain a decent CGPA in exam. Make sure you clear all exams till 8th semester.
Infrastructure Is also good, laboratories are fitted with new desktops and campus size is also decent, Tuck shops and various Canteens are available inside the campus. Also Central Library is there inside the campus where students can study in exam t

Dislikes

The curriculum for 1st and 2nd semester is purely based on subjects that you studied in 11th and 12th, the advance versions of those topics are there in 1st and 2nd semester which make it difficult for students to get good grades.
The placement in other branches like Mechanical, electrical is mere, and one can face difficult in getting on campus placement if he/she belongs to these streams. Also Lack of practical knowledge is there in these streams, Theory is more focused.
If one opt for hostels, then the hostel facilities are not as good as it should be , the mess food is pathetic and one can face difficulty if he/she opt for hostel, also campartively hostel fees are also very high, whereas nearby Pg's are cheaper

Placement Experience:

placement is good in our college. Aveage package is 400000, and average package for cse stream is approx 500000. Various companies like alstom, infosys, accenture, TCS, Wipro, amazon, Walmart, JP Morgan chase and co. etc visit campus every year and recruit students. Approx 300+ companies visit campus and above 80% of cse students are placed but In other streams like ECE.EE and ME etc placements are campartively lower and students face difficulty in order to get placed. MY plan is job oriented i also want to get placed on campus and hope so i will get placed in a good company.
