Remarks

The College had a good teaching experience but the infrastructure needs to be more developed. My overall experience was Nice.

Entrance Preview

No, there was no entrance exam required to get admission in this college. I chose this college as the facilities provided by the college were very comfortable and also as due to my father’s recommendation. Yes, there was an interview process followed in which they evaluated my knowledge and asked for the reasons to choose the course. I chose the course as I had a strong interest in physics and electronics, and I also believed that it had a pretty good scope in future.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course was extremely good and I was pretty satisfied with the subjects as well. I can say that there was around 95% concentration provided on practical learning in my college. Yes, the college did have research initiatives organized but they were less at my time. Now, there are much more options available. Yes, there were elective subjects available in our college.

Internships Opportunities

No, the college does not provide any internship opportunities to students. But there were internship offers available from outside the campus. There were very less number of internships available. I had not taken part in any of the internship courses. So, I have no idea about the stipend amount that was offered.

Placement Experience

3

The placement scenario was not that good for me. I can say that there were around 30% of the students placed during my time. The major companies that used to visit were several, out of which some are, ’HCL, TechMahindra, HGS’ are few of them. There was an average package of Rs. 2.25 lakhs per annum as far as I know.

College Events

3

Yes, there were many fests organized by the college. Majority of the fests were based on technical and managerial. The functions organized by the college were not that big. There were around 300 plus people who attended such events. The college authorities and the faculties also did contribute to such events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure would not have been affordable for me, but I did have scholarship to help me. The fee was around Rs. 45,000 for every single year, but I got a lot of concession from the Tamil Nadu government as I was the first graduate from the family. The fees included Laboratory fees, library fees, tuition fees, and also Placement training fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, the college did have the scholarship facility available to the students who qualified. Yes, I did use the scholarship facility provided by the college. Also, the college does provide educational loan as well to the students in need. And the college also used to support third-party loan providers such as banks.

Campus Life

3.5

Yes, there were many extracurricular activities available in our college. They used to host several programs such as sport events, Dance competitions, and they also had programming competitions as well. Yes, they did provide enough ample opportunities to discover our inner talents. Yes, the faculties also took part in the events and contributed to the same.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

No, I did not reside in the hostel as my home was nearby. But there is a hostel facility provided by the college. The rooms were in sharing. Also, there are no PG’s available around the college. I have no idea about the hostel fees. I also have no idea what the hostel food tasted like.

Alumni/Alumna

There was not a good alumni network available to us in our college. No, the college does not provide any proper platform for a student-alumni interaction. No, the alumni did not contribute much to the college. But the alumni did used to visit the college and took seminars for all the students.

Exam Structure

The exams were a chill culture to me. I had no issues with the way exams were planned. There was no leave granted for internals, but there was only one subject per day. Also for the externals they did give at least 1-2 days holiday between each test subject. All the arrangements made for the exams were comfortable.

Faculty

4

The college faculties were graduated and majority of them were experienced but some were freshers as our college did take freshers to teach. They were interactive but not all. Few were good and some were not that good. The standard of teaching was good but not the best. And they also help, when needed.

Placement Experience:

Students can join job drives from the 7th term. Many firms visit the campus for jobs and offer roles in tech and other fields. The pay varies by firm and role. EEC has a good job rate and gives help for job prep. After my degree, I plan to work in the tech field and grow my skills.

Placement Experience:

Students are open to campus placements from 2nd year onwards. There are many companies who visit such as Delloite, Accenture, Cognizant, TCS, Amazon, NatWest, Nokia, etc. Highest package offered is 42 lpa and lowest is maybe 2-4lpa. Around 90% of students get placed here. My plans is to get a job through campus recruitment. Currently I got an internship through campus recruitment in Cognizant so the recruitment is quite nice here.
