Course Curriculum Overview
I choose the B.E course because of the placement, CU's placement is quite good they assure 100% placement. If I talk about faculty they are friendly and cooperative, and almost all faculties are highly educated but in fresh years we have given teachers who graduated from the same college or Ph.D. students. We have 2 mid-semester exams and the final exam excluding the mid-semester practicals also.
Placement Experience
In 6 semesters, placements start and more than 500 companies come to visit and this number increases every year. At my time the highest package was 54LPA which was given by Palo Alto and the average package that every candidate gets is 5LPA, CU assures 100% placement although this is what every college says this is true almost every student gets placed. If you have skills you can get a very good placement, CU gives opportunity you have to grab it.
Fees and Financial Aid
Every year they increase the fees by 10% when I got into college my hostel fees were 86000 but now it is 110000 same as academic fees. But if you have a good percentage in 12th like 80% and above you can avail scholarship opportunity by giving the entrance exam that is CUCET. They also take placement fees that are 8000 at my time but now they have increased it. If you deposit this fee then only you can sit into placement otherwise not. Placements are quite good each and every student gets placed in some company. The average package is 5LPA.
Campus Life
Events and tech fest are very often at Chandigarh University, almost every month they conduct the events for students. we have a library in each block and CU has lots of blocks like more than 10 to 12. Sports and extra curriculum activities are very good at CU and if a student wants a career in these fields he or she can easily get it. DSW is the department who organizes all the events and if any student want to be a part of any social group or club, he or she can get into it easily.
Admission
I did not take any entrance exam for admission. However, if you want a scholarship, you can appear for the CUCET exam, which will allow you to seek admission and apply for the scholarship. The eligibility criteria for the exam are quite low, as any student who has passed the 12th grade can apply. you can visit the official website of the university to apply for admission and find all the necessary information there. Initially, a reservation fee of 10,000 INR was taken from me, but later it was adjusted into the overall fees.
