Campus life is really amazing and students get a lot of exposure.
Infrastructure is very nice and big buildings
Teachers are really cooperative and supportive.

Strictness is very more and medical leaves are not approved sometimes.
High authorities are not available sometimes for resolving issues.

Course Curriculum Overview

I have a great interest in computer science and coding so I choose by career in cse engineering. The student ratio is 35 students in one section. Faculty is highly qualified, even cu take exam of teacher before which subject they are teaching in the further semester. The exam happens 3 times, two are MSTs and one is the final exam.

Class Size: 79Course Fees: INR 196000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Currently, I have not gotten any internship opportunities and I am working on it improving my skills and applying to more companies. Chandigarh University is even providing extra training and sessions for more practice and providing knowledge.

Placement Experience

From semester 6th end we are eligible for placements. Companies like Nokia, LG, Unisys and many more visited cu. The highest package last year was 54lac. Cu ensures 100% placement. My plan after my degree is to do a job and side by side doing my master's.

Fees and Financial Aid

I think the fees are more and should be reduced by some amount as everyone can't afford them. Scholarships come in different phases gold in which 100% scholarship is given according to marks scholarship is provided. Job opportunities are also great. Chandigarh University offers a lot of opportunities for placement. 500+ companies come to cu.

Campus Life

There are many fests organised by Chandigarh University even a lot of film stars and big celebrities come to our campus. The library is very big and the books are up to date. The classroom has fans and is very big and airy with a large projector. Chandigarh University even provides 100% scholarships for sports students. Chandigarh University supports its students in sports. Best coaches are provided to students. There are many groups, and clubs in Chandigarh University like IEEE, CSI and other drama clubs.

Admission

Eligibility of course was 60% in 12th. It was available on cuchd (Chandigarh University's official page) No reservations but I availed 30% scholarship by giving cucet (scholarship exam by Chandigarh University) Guidance was great.

As Chandigarh University placements were better and exposure and college life was way better then chitkara University.

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus

Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

The Scholarship benefit is good when compared to other universities the fee is also not very huge.The Infrastructure of the campus was vast and there arelots of stall to purchase food items etc
There is a big mall through which You can get necessary items .In every hostel you will have departmental stores
The faculty was highly qualified. The Placements opportunities are also good The average was offered was 5-6 LPA.The Lpu newly Launched Education Revolution is very good for students

Dislikes

The mandatory 75% attendance policy for every subject.If you not maintain you will debar from End term examinations which is not all good
The Roads are not that much good .The roads are made of parking tiles instead of Thar
The distance between hostels and main gates are nearly 1.5 -2 km which not at all good .but there e-rickshaw they charge 15 rupees per person to drop from hostel to main gate

The course cirriculum changes every year by rapid changes happening due to AI The University has also launched a new school called School of AI and emerging technologies.from this every year syllabus changesand exams pattern changes .the difficulty of exams is increasing day by day.

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum

Chandigarh University - My experience from fees to social life

I gave cucet but can't find the college that have cse in their colleges. That time my father was recently posted in chandigarh as chandigarh university was very close to me and the transport is also easy and I don't have to pay the hostel fees and I can be a day scholar also so I choosed this college as it provide a good network of peoples. The admission process was to simple ,I just applied for their entrance online exam cucet and booked a slot gave online test of 100 mcq from the selected domain and after that I got scholarship and to confirm my seat I have to pay 10000 part of my semester fees (that 10000 was from my semester fees) and after doing online formalities and upload document.
