Course Curriculum Overview

the course curriculum is very good. the relationship between faculty and students is good according to my opinion. The qualification of faculties is some faculty qualification is masters and some faculties qualification is PhD the academic calendar is also decided when the exam is held or not and the course is completed then it is not difficult to give the exam.

Internships Opportunities

There are so many companies comes for internship opportunities for students just as Intel, Amazon, Flipkart, Google, Uber, Ola, Autodesk, open assist.ai etc the faculty of computer science engineering department in these types of companies guide how can we get into the internship in the type of this companies

Placement Experience

From the 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements there is the vast number of companies come to our college last year there is a 900 companies came for the placements and from 900 companies there is so big MNC companies just as Google, Amazon, Oracle , Microsoft, Autodesk ,ola , Uber etc. the highest package in our college is 1.7 crore in the company of IBM and average package in our college is 9 lakh per annum and my plans after the getting the degree of bachelor of engineering in Computer science engineering to get placed in companies just like Google, Amazon, Microsoft , Autodesk etc

Fees and Financial Aid

According to the opinion fees of my college is not little much because in the erw of this time there is so many colleges who is taking more much fees and in our college Chandigarh University has also conduct the scholarship exam which is called cucet (Chandigarh University common entrance test )by this exam we can take up to the 100% scholarship of academics and infrastructure of our college is very very good

Campus Life

The college life on campus is very fantastic the seniors of our college are very helpful in nature and the availability of books in libraries is good. there is a vast collection of books. the facilitation in the classroom is good just like AC computer system Wi-Fi etc and in sports and extracurricular activities there is all type of sports present in our college just like badminton court, football court, swimming pool, gym etc. there is also present indoor game sports I don't know about any social group is run by students in our college I am not interested in this type of things

Admission

Chandigarh University is the best college I have ever seen in my life. There is so many international student and faculty that is very helpful for us and the nature of the faculty of Chandigarh University is very helpful. There are so big MNC companies coming for placement in our college just like Google Microsoft Amazon etc. college also provides internship of opportunities I am presently an intern at an intel company this opportunity is also provided by Chandigarh University I am very glad to share it

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

The Scholarship benefit is good when compared to other universities the fee is also not very huge.The Infrastructure of the campus was vast and there arelots of stall to purchase food items etc
There is a big mall through which You can get necessary items .In every hostel you will have departmental stores
The faculty was highly qualified. The Placements opportunities are also good The average was offered was 5-6 LPA.The Lpu newly Launched Education Revolution is very good for students

Dislikes

The mandatory 75% attendance policy for every subject.If you not maintain you will debar from End term examinations which is not all good
The Roads are not that much good .The roads are made of parking tiles instead of Thar
The distance between hostels and main gates are nearly 1.5 -2 km which not at all good .but there e-rickshaw they charge 15 rupees per person to drop from hostel to main gate

The course cirriculum changes every year by rapid changes happening due to AI The University has also launched a new school called School of AI and emerging technologies.from this every year syllabus changesand exams pattern changes .the difficulty of exams is increasing day by day.

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

Distance of travelling coz for me its too much far

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum

Chandigarh University - My experience from fees to social life

I gave cucet but can't find the college that have cse in their colleges. That time my father was recently posted in chandigarh as chandigarh university was very close to me and the transport is also easy and I don't have to pay the hostel fees and I can be a day scholar also so I choosed this college as it provide a good network of peoples. The admission process was to simple ,I just applied for their entrance online exam cucet and booked a slot gave online test of 100 mcq from the selected domain and after that I got scholarship and to confirm my seat I have to pay 10000 part of my semester fees (that 10000 was from my semester fees) and after doing online formalities and upload document. I got a call that you can come to university and attend classes. The admission process of too simple so I never taught of choosing other college at that time....Read More
