Likes
- What i really liked about the college is lot of diversity is there because students come from other states.
- There are enough food courts for the children to enjoy during break.
- Students has the full authority to talk to the dean/hod of the college.
Dislikes
- Our HOD was partial with our class, even after raising too many complaints about the staff & their teaching methods still no actions were there from his side.
- There's a minimum attendance criteria for each subject you need to maintain minimum 80% of attendance else you won't be able to give exam or you need to pay 8k for a single subject in order to give exam
- Most of the times we were equipped with the college related stuff so didn't get the time to enjoy the college life much.
Course Curriculum Overview
I always wanted to be an engineer and since software engineers are getting good salaries for the past few years so I thought to choose cse, talking about the staff-to-student ratio it'll be 1:50, all staff members are well qualified but that doesn't mean all staff has the appropriate knowledge to teach students. Term exams are after every 4-5 months. You'll get easily passed even if u study 2-3 days before the exam.
Internships Opportunities
I got a full-time job in 1st attempt in a well-reputed financial organization, so didn't get the chance to apply for any other company via campus placements. So no internship experience for me as part of my bachelor's program.
Placement Experience
From 6th semester onwards students become eligible for campus placements. 300+ companies visit for the placement. The highest package during our time was 42 lpa whereas talking about the average package it's around 3-4 lpa. I can't be sure about the whole college but the placement percentage from my class was 60-70%.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure at that time for cse(specialization) was 90000 per semester and I didn't opt for the hostel so I'm not sure about the hostel charges but at that time hostel charges were around 1.5-2.0 lakh for a year. Never got any financial assistance so not aware of these things.
Campus Life
Dj Nights will be there throughout the year, where celebrities come to promote their movies/songs. Fest will be there once a year . talking about the library there is a library in each block but the main Library is in block 1. Library has the sufficient books for the children to study. All basic amenities are there in a class a greenbaord, projector, lecture stand College has variety of sports clubs but those are not useful for day scholars.
Admission
There's an entrance test, I don't remember the name but that's not compulsory too, and admission is based on first come first serve criteria & there's no such limit for the seats too. Reservation is there for SC/ST students who are from Punjab.
