What Students Say

Likes

Infrastructure is super awesome and there is also a food republic give some feeling of food court of any mall.
Even I have not Got placement because I am in 2nd year but as I got to listen from seniors every student who is even a little bit serious about his studies colleges always trying to provide the best possibilities of placement so they get placed.
As compared to other engineering College after getting scholarship fees is very minimal

Dislikes

Faculties are there seriously that because many of the faculty is don't have experience.
There is nothing like whole college leader student of which can transfer every student voice to the chairperson of the college.
Intake of student is so much they will don't care about how many students they are taking admission in general CSE there are more than 5000 students

Course Curriculum Overview

I have chosen computer science and engineering for my bachelor of engineering. In this course, I am studying various coding languages or you can say programming languages which are helping me for doing coding and participate in coding competitions as well as in getting placements.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 180000 per year

Placement Experience

3.5

Placement for computer science engineering is very good in my college in terms of the number of students placed but not in terms of the package they got. College is trying took place every student who is even a little bit eager to get a place or a little bit serious about their studies college is providing a lot of opportunities for their placement for getting good placement I don't recommend this college.

Fees and Financial Aid

Originally for computer science students when I took admission in 2021 fee was 90000 per semester. But I had scored decent marks on my boards so I got a 50% scholarship. My actual fees are now 45000 per semester as well as 2000 examination fees every semester.

Campus Life

3.5

The infrastructure of this university is super cool at every place you can see big buildings but for the student to join the class they have to go to the top via the stairs. Social life is pretty cool especially hostel because you have made and you enjoy a lot with them but in college the problem because in every semester day change students and you always have new members in your class each sem.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

According to the price postal is good but sometimes code qualities are pretty bad, especially doing admissions they try to make no recipes so that parents should be happy for their children taking admitted to their college to a proper playground but it is pretty far from the hostel so it is difficult for the student to go there and play otherwise everything pretty cool there is a lot of canteens you can buy whatever you want to eat and enjoy with friends.

Hostel Fee: INR 90000 per year

Admission

I had given see you the CUCET exam as an entrance exam. A minimum must be required for 13 for getting admission and if you want a scholarship then you have to score at least 60 marks and above they are scholarship criteria on different marks.

Likes

The campus is beautiful, spacious, and offers good infrastructure with modern facilities.
The university provides good exposure to technical courses, eventrs , clubs, and extracurricular activities.
The campus has good labs, a library, and facilities that support students academic development.

Dislikes

The fees are high and losing a scholarship due to cgpa requirements can create a significant financial burden.
More personalized mentorship and regular career guidance sessions would help student prepare for their future carees.
more internship opportunities would further improve students professional growth.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the CSE curriculum covers relevant subjects and provides a good foundation programming and computer science. It prepares students for futher studies and careers, through more industry-based projects and practical learning would be bemigficial. Exams include MSTs and ESTs, with a manageable difficulty level through regi;ar preparation.

Likes

college life of Chandigarh university is so good, all the events do happen .
teachers are so experienced and they are so supportive in here.
the placements in this university are great, all the big tech companies do visit while placements and provide jobs to the deserved students.

Dislikes

All the online courses should be reduced.
nothing is there in the university that is to dislike.
majority of the things are all good in our university.

Placement Experience:

The placemnets in the university starts from the 3 year only. companies comes in the 3rd year, students= can give interviews in this year, and they can get the NOC. wich means you can go for the job or the iinternship and there is no need to take the classes, because you are taking the indyustry level experience in the prior basis also.

during major events and peak hours the campus become crowded

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course curriculum is realvent and fairly comprehensive i choose computer science engineering because it covers importnt ares such as programming data structures data base software development and emerging technologies

Likes

campus life is absolutely banger and it is great to have friends here
crowd is bonkers , except some local peeps , they'd be behaving weird
major events like freshers and orientation , they bring crazzy artists

Dislikes

hectic schedules drain the soul of you .
frequent exams test that are totally unnecesary
attendance is another nuisance , having 75 percent is must

Placement Experience:

placements of 2.8 cr occured but it was only one , most of the placements packages go under 8 lpa and extra fees has to be paid in order to be eligible for placement drives and that too doen't ensure the placement

A TOUR TO CGC LANDRAN

Likes

Events are more frequent here and most of the stars from punjabi industry are called more often for film promotions
No ragging is there infact seniors are friendly and try to help juniors
TPP (training and placement program) is provided that help students to crack placements

Dislikes

Attendance criteria (minimum 75 % is essential to maintain to be eligible to give exams)
Class timings are fixed from 9:15 to 4:35 and you can not enter in between 10 to 12:00 PM as gates are closed for this duration
Strength is rapidly increasing as new courses are introduced which increases competition during placements

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent, from 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement students need to enroll in TPP(Training and placement program) in order to get eligible for campus placement, Many companies visit our campus for eg Capgemini, LNT, ZSCALER, EDIFECS, AMAZON, PWC, WATCHGUARD TECHNOLOGIES etc overall above 200 offerrs are made to our senior batch with the highest package of 32LPA and average package of around 4.5LPA. more than 60% of students get placed . I am also sitting for campus placement and wish to get placed soon

College Life is Fun, Various activities and events happen in and around college, you got to know about others and crowd is also decent, Mostly Students are from northern regions that is Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand .
Teachers are good and placement coordinators also help students to get good package on campus. a decent package can be bagged by a student if he/she seriously study and obtain a decent CGPA in exam. Make sure you clear all exams till 8th semester.
Infrastructure Is also good, laboratories are fitted with new desktops and campus size is also decent, Tuck shops and various Canteens are available inside the campus. Also Central Library is there inside the campus where students can study in exam t

Dislikes

The curriculum for 1st and 2nd semester is purely based on subjects that you studied in 11th and 12th, the advance versions of those topics are there in 1st and 2nd semester which make it difficult for students to get good grades.
The placement in other branches like Mechanical, electrical is mere, and one can face difficult in getting on campus placement if he/she belongs to these streams. Also Lack of practical knowledge is there in these streams, Theory is more focused.
If one opt for hostels, then the hostel facilities are not as good as it should be , the mess food is pathetic and one can face difficulty if he/she opt for hostel, also campartively hostel fees are also very high, whereas nearby Pg's are cheaper

Placement Experience:

placement is good in our college. Aveage package is 400000, and average package for cse stream is approx 500000. Various companies like alstom, infosys, accenture, TCS, Wipro, amazon, Walmart, JP Morgan chase and co. etc visit campus every year and recruit students. Approx 300+ companies visit campus and above 80% of cse students are placed but In other streams like ECE.EE and ME etc placements are campartively lower and students face difficulty in order to get placed. MY plan is job oriented i also want to get placed on campus and hope so i will get placed in a good company.
