Course Curriculum Overview

Pursuing BE in Computer Science at CU provides a lot of job opportunities and also the faculties throughout the degree put a lot of effort to train students to the industry level. The teaching method is always a two-way interaction. Every faculty has at least done MTech or Ph.D. from a renowned university. Two MSTs and one final semester exam are conducted every semester and the exam is of moderate level.

Class Size: 72Course Fees: INR 160000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Companies start coming for internships from the beginning of the 6th semester. Various profiles are being offered by companies like Nokia, CyberNext, Scalar, Nutanix, Fourkites, Google, etc. Projects are also very much focused. We are submitting one project every semester and it helps increase skills and temperament.

Placement Experience

4.5

CU provides one of the best placements among private universities in India. Almost 450 companies visited in 2022 for various profiles. The highest package was Rs 54 LPA and the average package was around Rs 8 LPA. Almost 90% of the students get placed and it is a huge number for any private university.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are not very high compared to other private colleges. My semester fee is Rs 80000 and for every new batch, it increases by Rs 10000. You can avail of Loan facilities from Bank or DRCC. Scholarships are provided on various basis like JEE percentile, CUCET score, and 12th marks.

Campus Life

4.5

The campus life is just amazing. The fests are organized on a regular basis. CU Fest, Aaghaaz, Tashan nites, and DJ nights are some of the fests where Punjabi and Bollywood celebrities come to perform. There is a library in every block but the central library is in the main block. The libraries are open till 10 PM. The sports complex is there on the campus where there is a separate facility for every sport like Badminton, Cricket, Kabaddi, Basketball, Volleyball, etc. Coding clubs are very active in campus.

Admission

The only eligibility criteria is scoring 60% or above is class 12th. You can apply from CU official website and an admission counselor will contact you. Application fee is Rs 1000 and you can also appear for the CUCET exam and get upto 100% scholarship. Since, it is private college, there is no benefit for reserved categories. You can opt for CSE if you want a dream career.

the CSE curriculum covers relevant subjects and provides a good foundation programming and computer science. It prepares students for futher studies and careers, through more industry-based projects and practical learning would be bemigficial. the placements in this university are great, all the big tech companies do visit while placements and provide jobs to the deserved students.

All the online courses should be reduced.

majority of the things are all good in our university.

Placement Experience:

The placemnets in the university starts from the 3 year only. companies comes in the 3rd year, students= can give interviews in this year, and they can get the NOC. wich means you can go for the job or the iinternship and there is no need to take the classes, because you are taking the indyustry level experience in the prior basis also.

crowd is bonkers , except some local peeps , they'd be behaving weird
major events like freshers and orientation , they bring crazzy artists

Dislikes

hectic schedules drain the soul of you .
frequent exams test that are totally unnecesary
attendance is another nuisance , having 75 percent is must

placements of 2.8 cr occured but it was only one , most of the placements packages go under 8 lpa and extra fees has to be paid in order to be eligible for placement drives and that too doen't ensure the placement

A TOUR TO CGC LANDRAN

Likes

Events are more frequent here and most of the stars from punjabi industry are called more often for film promotions
No ragging is there infact seniors are friendly and try to help juniors
TPP (training and placement program) is provided that help students to crack placements

Dislikes

Attendance criteria (minimum 75 % is essential to maintain to be eligible to give exams)
Class timings are fixed from 9:15 to 4:35 and you can not enter in between 10 to 12:00 PM as gates are closed for this duration
Strength is rapidly increasing as new courses are introduced which increases competition during placements

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent, from 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement students need to enroll in TPP(Training and placement program) in order to get eligible for campus placement, Many companies visit our campus for eg Capgemini, LNT, ZSCALER, EDIFECS, AMAZON, PWC, WATCHGUARD TECHNOLOGIES etc overall above 200 offerrs are made to our senior batch with the highest package of 32LPA and average package of around 4.5LPA. more than 60% of students get placed . I am also sitting for campus placement and wish to get placed soon

College Life is Fun, Various activities and events happen in and around college, you got to know about others and crowd is also decent, Mostly Students are from northern regions that is Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand .
Teachers are good and placement coordinators also help students to get good package on campus. a decent package can be bagged by a student if he/she seriously study and obtain a decent CGPA in exam. Make sure you clear all exams till 8th semester.
Infrastructure Is also good, laboratories are fitted with new desktops and campus size is also decent, Tuck shops and various Canteens are available inside the campus. Also Central Library is there inside the campus where students can study in exam t

Dislikes

The curriculum for 1st and 2nd semester is purely based on subjects that you studied in 11th and 12th, the advance versions of those topics are there in 1st and 2nd semester which make it difficult for students to get good grades.
The placement in other branches like Mechanical, electrical is mere, and one can face difficult in getting on campus placement if he/she belongs to these streams. Also Lack of practical knowledge is there in these streams, Theory is more focused.
If one opt for hostels, then the hostel facilities are not as good as it should be , the mess food is pathetic and one can face difficulty if he/she opt for hostel, also campartively hostel fees are also very high, whereas nearby Pg's are cheaper

Placement Experience:

placement is good in our college. Aveage package is 400000, and average package for cse stream is approx 500000. Various companies like alstom, infosys, accenture, TCS, Wipro, amazon, Walmart, JP Morgan chase and co. etc visit campus every year and recruit students. Approx 300+ companies visit campus and above 80% of cse students are placed but In other streams like ECE.EE and ME etc placements are campartively lower and students face difficulty in order to get placed. MY plan is job oriented i also want to get placed on campus and hope so i will get placed in a good company.
