What Students Say

Likes

Placements are a plus point of the college if you do good self study. Many opportunities are given to a student.
The second is the campus life and infrastructure. The campus is quite beautiful where you can make good memories.

Dislikes

There is very high crowd in the college where as the resources that the college provide as compared to crowd is quite less.

Course Curriculum Overview

1.5

The faculty is very bad in this college. Most of them have just done M.TECH for some local college. One or two out of the teachers are good in the college. There are two mid-semester tests and one end-semester test. The test is not that difficult. If someone prepares for an exam one week prior then easily good marks can be achieved.

Class Size: 35Course Fees: INR 200000 per year

Placement Experience

The Placement of the college is quite decent. Many companies visit the college. The college starts visiting the campus at the end of the 6th sem. By the start of the first year the frequency of companies coming to campus increases. Some of the companies that visited the campus are Autodesk, HighRaduis, Scalar Academy, Wipro, Atlacian, TCS etc. Almost 90% of the student gets placed in some of the company. My plan is to grab a placement from the college while pursuing my degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are a plus point for the college. The fees of this college are quite affordable as compared to other colleges. My fee is 800000/- per semester in which I have a scholarship of thirty per cent. There is a fee hike of 10000 every year. The college also provides some financial aid to economically weaker students. They need to visit the accounting department with proper documents to avail of the aid.

Campus Life

3.5

Life on campus is quite good. The campus infrastructure is quite good and well-maintained. Fest is organised by the college every now and then. There are many societies in the college but the two mist famous ones are the IEEE Society and the Hackoverflow Society. There are multiple libraries but they get overcrowded at times as the student population is too high.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facility is quite good. The food quality is quite good and hygiene is also maintained. The registration process is quite easy, you can main to the hostel care or can visit DSW department in the college itselfd. The only problem in hostel in that one room have four to five member which sometime causes privacy issue.

Hostel Fee: INR 100000 per year

Admission

There are not eligibility criteria or any seat matrix in this college. In fact, if you have a good academic record then the college will provide you with a scholarship. If you have good marks in 12 or have a good percentile in JEE then you get eligible for the scholarship. Moreover, if you do not have a good score in either of these then you can apply for the CUCET exam that is conducted by the college itself. If you score well in the exam then you will get a good amount of scholarship. I myself gave the exam and scored 80% marks and scored 30% scholarship on tuition fees.

The campus is beautiful, spacious, and offers good infrastructure with modern facilities.
The university provides good exposure to technical courses, eventrs , clubs, and extracurricular activities.
The campus has good labs, a library, and facilities that support students academic development.

Dislikes

The fees are high and losing a scholarship due to cgpa requirements can create a significant financial burden.
More personalized mentorship and regular career guidance sessions would help student prepare for their future carees.
more internship opportunities would further improve students professional growth.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the CSE curriculum covers relevant subjects and provides a good foundation programming and computer science. It prepares students for futher studies and careers, through more industry-based projects and practical learning would be bemigficial. Exams include MSTs and ESTs, with a manageable difficulty level through regi;ar preparation.

college life of Chandigarh university is so good, all the events do happen .
teachers are so experienced and they are so supportive in here.
the placements in this university are great, all the big tech companies do visit while placements and provide jobs to the deserved students.

Dislikes

All the online courses should be reduced.
nothing is there in the university that is to dislike.
majority of the things are all good in our university.

Placement Experience:

The placemnets in the university starts from the 3 year only. companies comes in the 3rd year, students= can give interviews in this year, and they can get the NOC. wich means you can go for the job or the iinternship and there is no need to take the classes, because you are taking the indyustry level experience in the prior basis also.

Likes

campus life is absolutely banger and it is great to have friends here
crowd is bonkers , except some local peeps , they'd be behaving weird
major events like freshers and orientation , they bring crazzy artists

Dislikes

hectic schedules drain the soul of you .
frequent exams test that are totally unnecesary
attendance is another nuisance , having 75 percent is must

Placement Experience:

placements of 2.8 cr occured but it was only one , most of the placements packages go under 8 lpa and extra fees has to be paid in order to be eligible for placement drives and that too doen't ensure the placement

A TOUR TO CGC LANDRAN

Likes

Events are more frequent here and most of the stars from punjabi industry are called more often for film promotions
No ragging is there infact seniors are friendly and try to help juniors
TPP (training and placement program) is provided that help students to crack placements

Dislikes

Attendance criteria (minimum 75 % is essential to maintain to be eligible to give exams)
Class timings are fixed from 9:15 to 4:35 and you can not enter in between 10 to 12:00 PM as gates are closed for this duration
Strength is rapidly increasing as new courses are introduced which increases competition during placements

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent, from 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement students need to enroll in TPP(Training and placement program) in order to get eligible for campus placement, Many companies visit our campus for eg Capgemini, LNT, ZSCALER, EDIFECS, AMAZON, PWC, WATCHGUARD TECHNOLOGIES etc overall above 200 offerrs are made to our senior batch with the highest package of 32LPA and average package of around 4.5LPA. more than 60% of students get placed . I am also sitting for campus placement and wish to get placed soon

College Life is Fun, Various activities and events happen in and around college, you got to know about others and crowd is also decent, Mostly Students are from northern regions that is Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand .
Teachers are good and placement coordinators also help students to get good package on campus. a decent package can be bagged by a student if he/she seriously study and obtain a decent CGPA in exam. Make sure you clear all exams till 8th semester.
Infrastructure Is also good, laboratories are fitted with new desktops and campus size is also decent, Tuck shops and various Canteens are available inside the campus. Also Central Library is there inside the campus where students can study in exam t

Dislikes

The curriculum for 1st and 2nd semester is purely based on subjects that you studied in 11th and 12th, the advance versions of those topics are there in 1st and 2nd semester which make it difficult for students to get good grades.
The placement in other branches like Mechanical, electrical is mere, and one can face difficult in getting on campus placement if he/she belongs to these streams. Also Lack of practical knowledge is there in these streams, Theory is more focused.
If one opt for hostels, then the hostel facilities are not as good as it should be , the mess food is pathetic and one can face difficulty if he/she opt for hostel, also campartively hostel fees are also very high, whereas nearby Pg's are cheaper

Placement Experience:

placement is good in our college. Aveage package is 400000, and average package for cse stream is approx 500000. Various companies like alstom, infosys, accenture, TCS, Wipro, amazon, Walmart, JP Morgan chase and co. etc visit campus every year and recruit students. Approx 300+ companies visit campus and above 80% of cse students are placed but In other streams like ECE.EE and ME etc placements are campartively lower and students face difficulty in order to get placed. MY plan is job oriented i also want to get placed on campus and hope so i will get placed in a good company.
