Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

I choose this course because of my interest and good placements. the course curriculum is a bit theoretical and there are many assignments and projects. Faculty members are average some of them are really good while some have no interest in teaching, some faculty members are very experienced but most of them are unexperienced but all faculties have done a PhD. the student-faculty ratio is around 1:50. there are 2 mid-term exams scheduled at a gap of 1 month and these are easy exams.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

There are not very many internship opportunities present, but some of the companies sre Nvidia, play simple, AutoCAD etc. roles are all tech related and most of them with 0 stipends. we have to create a project every semester in which we create software using different technologies every semester.

Placement Experience

3

There are campus placements and students are eligible for placements from the 6th semester. Some of the companies visit are TCS, TechMahindra, amazon, Accenture etc. highest package is around 50 lacs and the average package is around 4-5 lacs. almost 50% of students who opt for placements are got placed. I want to do MTech after getting my degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

The academic fees of CSE are 120000 per sem, also the examination fee is 2000 per sem. You can avail scholarship on the academic fee amount based on the score in the cucet exam conducted by the university. fees are not hiked for the university students during their course but for the new admission fees are hiked around 5% every year. For me, the fee is very high and I have to take an education loan. Since I was in my 3rd year so I don't know much about campus placements.

Campus Life

3

There is an annual fest named CU Fest which is conducted in August and there are also smaller fests going on all around the year. There are libraries in each block and all course-related books are easily accessible. The sports complex of the university is also good and there are sports competitions as well, courts and grounds are present for most sports. classrooms are a bit of an average school type, there are no ACs, and the classes are always crowded. there are many social groups/clubs run by students such as Codbattelfields, Techies, Multicultural groups etc.

Admission

I take admission through the university entrance test exam CUCET and scored 89/100. It is available on the admission site of the university cuchd.in, the application fee for the exam is 2000 and you can reattempt the exam by paying 1000 more as many times as you want if you were not able to crack it the first time. Based on my score I also got a 50% scholarship on the tuition fee amount. In order to take this course you must have scored more than 60 per cent marks in both 10th and 12th standards. You can also take a scholarship based on 12th marks i.e. more than 90% will get a 50% scholarship in the tuition fee amount, more than 85% will get a 40% scholarship and more than 80% will get a 30% scholarship. Also based on JEE score you can avail scholarship on the tuition fee amount. The admission process of the college is very convenient you can easily book your seat on cuchd.in website by paying 5000 and the can start your journey.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
